Dr. Geo Robert Medalie

I went to Dr. Medalie to rule out cardiac involvement following a syncopal (fainting) episode. Dr. Medalie voiced being quite certain it was not cardiac. I received a nuclear stress test and an echocardiogram; 3 weeks passed and I assumed nothing was wrong secondary to not receiving a phone call from Dr. Medalie's office (plus I had been diagnosed with a non-cardiac issue). On a whim I called his office and was told by him that I had a significant mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation. Why would his office not call me about those type of test results!! His office staff is another story--few pleasant people; however, one staff yelled at another in my presence. When I met with Dr. Medalie for a follow-up he was very cold and abrupt. I mentioned feeling tired and he insisted this was not a symptom of mitral valve disorders. My research consistently has shown it is one of the main issues of valvular issues. He suggested an echocardiogram every 6 months & monitoring symptoms. He may be a… great businessman but I would never recommend him as a cardiologist.
