Rude, know it all that puts the VA before the patient.

Very unprofessional doctor. Attitude is poor, seems to disregard problems and is disrespectful towards vets.

Avoid this provider at all costs. I wish I had looked him up in the beginning and saved myself his rude manner and uncaring treatment. He has no problem calling you a liar and looking down on you. If you go back and read his notes on your visit, you're sure to find plenty of snide comments.

I agree with the other comment. This guy is the worst Dr. I have ever encountered and I have seen plenty of them. This guy doesn't care what you say, he just pulls conclusions out of thin air. This guy changed medications I had been taking for years and didn't schedule a follow up until six months later. Plus, he so much as called me a liar and we got into a verbal argument on my first visit because I didn't take any of his abuse. Stay away from this maniac, he doesn't care about you or any other patient. He has such a calloused indifference to people and is rude about it.

I have been a VA patient for over two years; Dr. Daugherty was assigned as my primary care physician because the first doctor (really a PA) spent my whole appointment talking on the phone, looking at the calendar, and checking her email to set up a racquetball game. Anyway, Dr. Daugherty has treated me with disdain from the moment we met, he doesn't pay attention to what I say (or if he does, he just doesn't care.) He seems to have no feelings for his patients (I've talked to several other patients who requested not to see him anymore,) and he has made very inappropriate, snide comments to me on several occasions. At first, I thought he might be upset because he had been "assigned" to me because of my experience with the first PA I saw, but over time I realize it's just his personality. He puts on a pretend "nice face," but he obviously have some personal issues that he needs to stop bringing to work with him. I will be requesting a different doctor, but since it will be within the VA… system, I might end up with his best friend and maybe worse off than I am now. He is very condescending and doesn't believe a patient (I'm 49) might actually know more about his or her body than he does - particularly since he doesn't take the time to listen to the symptoms the patient is trying to explain to him.
