Dr. Geoffrey Alan Eubank, MD

Dr. Eubank is brilliant, warm, and invested in his patients. I find other reviews here calling him “condescending” funny because he could not be less condescending. The problem is, I’d wager, that those commenters aren’t intelligent enough to even understand simple language. If you want high quality care, I’d recommend Dr. Eubank.

Every time I saw Dr. Eubank he would dismiss my insight, especially as it relates to my healing and feeling better. After I told him that I was seeing significant improvement in my health, he made a comment that if he just changed my environment, all my symptoms would come back. He said that I will get worse over time. And I believe that could be the case for patients with really depressing doctors such as Eubank, but I refused to believe that my life was in this man’s hands. He kept insisting that I get on some big pharmaceutical drug, and became upset when I said that I would not. I took the natural route and have not had an “episode” in 3 years. A big part of your healing and strengthening comes from having a positive mind and clear outlook, something that Eubank would not allow me to do.

I liked this guy from the first time I met with him because I was looking for a neurologist that did not talk down to me or insult my intelligence, which was my reason for leaving my second neurologist. Dr. Eubank explained the mechanism behind several disease-modifying drugs and helped me identify my best course of action when the drug I was on failed. He prescribed Tysabri to me after testing determined that Tovaxin was not going to be suitable. Tysabri worked for me exceptionally well for seven years and I would still be on it had I not developed contraindications for its use. After Tysabri, he placed me on Gilenya as a stop-gap measure to control the MS while awaiting FDA approval on Lemtrada. Although the Gilenya did not work as effectively as we hoped, I was treated with Lemtrada after it was approved and have been on it since. It has worked as well as I could have hoped for and I am maintaining nicely. I will not switch neurologists unless Dr. Eubank decides to retire.… Incidentally, other reviews have mentioned a perception that Dr. Eubank does not have a sense of humor. Au contraire. He does indeed, and joked with me about cycling, an enthusiasm we share. As a beginning cyclist, I asked him how many times one can expect to fall down while using clip-on pedals. He said only once. I laughed because I could definitely visualize learning to un-clip after the first time I fell over, especially if I did it in front of others. My first neurologist was quite funny in that respect as well. When I confided to my first neurologist that I thought I was having a relapse while trying to swim because I noticed my left arm was not clearing the waterline, he asked me if I found myself going in circles. Dr. Eubank is a refreshing reminder that humor IS the best medicine.

Dr. Eubank and his staff are amazing. I have been going to him since 2007 for MS, and they always listen to what I have to say, and do what is best for my body. I will not go to another doctor unless Dr. Eubank and his Nurse Practitioner, Laura, stop practicing medicine.

Dr. Eubanks is down to earth and communicates well! He is intelligent but also has a personality.

Stay far away from this arrogant idiot.

Dr. Eubanks is the most caring and respectful Dr. I have ever dealt with. He is amazing!
