I called in complaining of a sore throat that felt like strep throat which ive had several times. I can understand that he didn't want to prescribe me antibiotics bc I didn't have the indicative signs or symptoms and that it might go away on its own (Tylenol and motrin had given some relief to my symptoms anyways). However, he kept telling me to get a strep test which I kept telling him I couldn't; if I could I wouldn't be calling in the first place. Didn't even give me any instruction how to get my strep test outside of just going to my PCP. However, this was also understandable because I guess you need to be tested before treatment but I've never had that problem before. He constantly cut me off and talked over me which I attributed to the phone connection. The thing that made me the most frustrated was that he never told me what I could do for my sore throat, and when I saw the consultation summary it just said to follow up with PCP in 48-72 hours with no help in alleviating my sore… throat. Strep or not. Working in healthcare I can understand him from a medical diagnosis/treatment point of view but it was extra frustrating just because even though he didn't treat strep, he didn't really help me with my symptoms either

I would select 0 stars if I could. This doctor was rude and could descending. I have an autoimmune condition and on immunotherapy which reduces my immune system. He flat out told me it didn’t even make sense for me to be seeing him for an upper respiratory infection that is not improving after two weeks. He belched on camera and didn’t even excuse himself. I have never felt so dismissed as a patient (and I have worked in health care industry for 18 years). I’m not one to run to the doctor quickly but 102 degree temps and struggling to breathe is “not a reason to be seen”. Do NOT see this man. He is not a good provider at all.

Certainly not a doctor I would want to deal with for a serious illness.. I was prescribed an antibiotic and he wrote a prescription for the powdered form instead of a simple tablet form that would've been much easier, luckily my pharmacy corrected this mistake. Two words Dr. Kamen, DO BETTER!

Dr. Kamen was so kind to talk to me about my recent ill child. . I called about a cold but mentioned that I had been crying. He was very empathetic and listened to me before offering his advise. He understood exactly what was happening for me and. I’m great full for his tender words of encouragement

I’m really happy i got Dr. Kamen again. I ha him twice once last year and he happened to be the same ooctor again when I recently called. IHe had the same excellent bedside manner and made an effort to even ask me about my prior visit. I’m very happy and hope teledoc lets us choose our doctor in the future.

I had a a cold for about 3 weeks and felt as sick as ever. I had some problems. With breathing at the same time. He was very processional in his tone and stayed on the phone for a long time to discuss each medication that was needed. He even. Exapliend what to do with each medication and how theinegredients work together to manage symptoms. I thought he really cared and asked if he could be selected. I had a second visit with him recently by random chance though so was very happy when it was the same doctor again.

I had a rash an the spots were not very good pictures. He had already looked at the pictures before the call and was determined what was wrong quickly.

I felt so ill. And .Dr. Kamen listened to me and as soon as I finished speaking he asked a few more questions and determined that I needed to use inhalers. He was totally right because wheat he prescribed helped me get better within the same day.
