Went to the ER in Winchester and was very unhappy with how I was treated. He has no empathy and was very unprofessional.

He’s rude, arrogant, cocky..... and should really find another career. Makes Winchester look bad.... never had a negative experience until today with this person. Everyone apologized but not the ego maniac. I plan to take it further.

Dr. Martin is the best ER doc I’ve ever seen. Had to go to the hospital after an urgent care said I needed an abscess drained in my tonsil. Dr. Martin took one look and said ‘nah, we don’t have to cut it open, one steroid shot and a different antibiotic is all you need’. Within a few hours I was better than I had been in two months of recurrent strep. I liked his straightforward manner and laid-back confidence. In and out of the ER within an hour and no unnecessary cutting open of my throat. Thank you, Dr. Martin!

It was so refreshing to read a review that was written by someone regarding Dr. Geoffrey Martin. He was the most uncaring doctor that I’ve encountered in my years of healthcare. He was highly opinionated in his views of diversity in the Moore County Community. He was very judgemental toward certain populations. There is certainly no room for this type of bigotry in healthcare. The Emergency Room is the front door to most hospitals and we certainly don’t need an ambassador such as Dr. Martin welcoming patients to our hospital . First Health is a wonderful institution that serves a large diverse population , let us continue to maintain our GREAT and PRESTIGIOUS standings.

And I hope if any of your family members ever had similar situations to your patients that they would be treated with respect, compassion and care they deserve Your approach is abrasive, abusive and reckless. Maybe you need a vacation maybe your were having a bad day. Though there are other reviews and complaints regarding your bedside manner. Patients should not suffer because you obviously cannot handle the stress. People generally come to to ER to receive EMERGENCY HELP. Not to be neglected and judge. You are a doctor that ruins reputations for other doctors. If you cannot treat all of your patients not matter what the situation is which compassion and patience get ANOTHER JOB. Sincerely A very disappointed patient that now fears… the ER even more because of people like you. PS. There is no bonus or fun part of being taken to the ER. You act as if people want to be there or admitted on purpose. RIDICULOUS.
