Dr. Geoffrey Rabie

First I went to Dr. Rabie for a re-route canal which went well. He told me I needed gum surgery (Apicoectomy) on the tooth right next to it. I should of got a 2nd oponion. I had another tooth that was in need of work so it could be saved but this tooth had no pain he decided the needed (visably broke tooth) could wait, ODD. He did the gum surgery and when I went back to my regular dentist he said he did not see anything that warranted gum surgery. 8 months later I had my 2nd gum surgery (Apicoectomy) done on another tooth. This was a surprise to me, I was under the impression by Dr. Rabie the tooth itself was going to be repaired. I had a ridicoulous amount of pain. I had to take 3 days off in a 10 day period. I iced my cheek excessively to help w/the pain. He changed everything he said previously when I went back 7 days later to have the stitches removed. Now don't eat ,bruch or floss for another 2 more weeks. He said initially you have to wait 6 months to make sure the infection… stays away to let's seee if the infection goes away ? He has a 2 script max. )i never take pain meds ever) but I had to go to my primary doctor she could see I could barely talk due to the pain I had. I honestly believe the 1st Apicoectomy done was not needed but for his financial gain only. His assistant said to me he does gum surgery's all day long. Now I'm 15 days out and finally the pain is subsiding. Oh and my gum on 1 side of my tooth has chunked off piece by piece si ther's a hole in my gum. He does not know if this will grow back ! I'll have to wait 6 months to see if his work was successful. If not I will file a claim so my Insurance company gets refunded the $1,400 this cost.
