Dr Van Flandern is a top of the line professional doctor. I had 3 life changing surgeries All of his surgeries are perfectly performed, with the best and top of the line procedures for faster healing. I highly recommend him to anyone, as well as my own family members.

I couldn’t be more pleased with my visit with Dr. Van Flandern. He was kind and respectful. He answered all my questions and explained my current status in a clear way. I felt my needs were met with a view of what follow up might be needed and how to determine this.

From the moment that I met Dr. Van Flandern, I knew I was in great hands. He did a total knee replacement of my left knee on 08/13/26, and he was excellent -- extremely knowledgeable, and caring and I felt I was in great hands. He also has a great bedside manner. The moment he arrived at my room at the New England Baptist Hospital in Dorchester, MA, I knew I had made the right decision to choose him, because I felt confident that he would do a great surgery, and he did! This is my first experience with Dr. Van Flandern, and I wish he had done my right knee too because I had a terrible experience with another physician. Dr. Van Flandern is caring and at my first appointment, he advised me that I needed the knee surgery. And now I have almost recovered, and I am walking much better 12 weeks after surgery. My sincere appreciation to Dr. Van Flandern for being my knee surgeon! I highly recommend him as the best knee surgeon in Massachusetts!

My initial appointment with Dr. Van Flandern was informative and clear. We were able to reach a decision based on logical evidence and I moved swiftly to schedule a hip replacement. The next available appointment was scheduled for the following week, which caused a bit of panic due to the tests needed to prepare for the surgery. Nevertheless the office staff were so helpful and instructive, all worked out well and before I had time to worry I was in surgery and in the capable hands of Dr. Van Flandern. It's been seven weeks, and I am back to garden, farm and office work - essentially I am back to normal! I am so appreciative of the quality of the surgery, and of course the outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Van Flandern and his team to any and all.

Dr. Van Flandern is an excellent surgeon. I would recommend him for knee replacement surgery. I had bilateral knee replacement 16yrs ago without any problems at all!

My appointment was scheduled easily and quickly. Once my X-ray indicated that I needed a knee replacement, moving forward to surgery was established. Dr Van Flandern took the time to explain the process to me, and made sure I was comfortable with this surgery. Being informed and feeling confident in my procedure, I decided to move forward. My visit was successful and informative. My confidence in Dr. Van Flandern was reassured. He is kind, took his time with me, and made me feel respected as a person.

Dr Van Flandern is an excellent surgeon and compassionate care giver.I had two THR with him and the results are life changing. His support staff is excellent as well and have had good follow up care with Brian Johnson. Very easy to communicate through the portal and scheduling appointments is easy as well. Wrote a previous review, not sure it took.....bottom line is that my knee replacement was a tremendously positive experience from start to finish, all thanks to Dr Van Flanden and his team - a good example was their high level of communication with the patient/me (I felt completely in the loop all the way, which calmed me down, and gave me the confidence to continue along with the whole process).....very thankful I chose this Dr, and his team.
