When we move back to Battle Creek Dr Adams was recommended for my sleep apnea. As a retired medical professional I could not be more disappointed. His professionalism is at the very least questionable. When I entered his office his desk was cluttered in 6 to 8 inches of medical records, open. HIPAA violation at the very least inappropriate at best. He started looking over "my records", making statements and asking questions that seemed to have nothing to do with me. Never asking me my date of birth or verifying my name he had the wrong record in front of him. Following up with Dr Adams a year later via a teleconference health call at completion he said that he would arrange for his office to schedule a follow-up appointment in an additional year. Nothing happened. No follow-up. I eventually end up contacting the office myself scheduling an appointment to be evaluated for ceasing my CPAP. I informed the doctor that I wanted an in-home sleep study he stated that he would put in the order… and that his office would arrange it. 5 weeks later I have heard nothing so I contacted Dr Adam's office. I was told "I see that he put in the order and normally we send that to Oaklawn but I'm not sure what's going on. I will go ahead and send that over to them." Completely unacceptable for a medical office. Anyone would be better traveling to Marshall for Oaklawn Hospital in order to receive competent medical care. I have a friend who unfortunately sees this doctor for nephrology issues, she states that she sees his office in that same shape whenever she goes in.
