Dr. George Benes, MD

Dr. Benes has performed all my colonoscopies since I turned 40 (I'm now 63) and him and the staff, have always been very caring and informative. My wife also uses Dr. Benes as her prefer gastro doctor and we will both continue to visit him when needed.

After waiting over an hour for the Dr I finally here my name being called but see no one so I follow voice he is in his office hollering my first and last name . He proceeds to ask me what is wrong when I begin to tell him he starts fidgeting in his chair and states his f..... back is bothering him. In my 72 years on earth I have never encountered someone using such language in a professional setting . He continued to curse 3 other times I am now looking for a more professional Dr

My experience with Dr. Benes has been one of the worst I've ever had. Dr Benes lacks ability to to treat one with respect and refuses to hear or encourage questions. i left his office in tears because of his unwillingness to explain anything to me. His bedside manner is non existent oh and he's unprofessional in that he used foul language. If you have indigestion,constipation a little heartburn, he's your Doctor, but if you need a specialist whom you can trust to help with a complex condition, run far away from Dr Benes

When I was having an endoscopy he asked me questions but dismissed my answers and would;t listen to me. he prescribed medication even tho it wasn;.t working. I;m 73 and I need a doctor who will listen to me. After all it;s my body and I know what is and. isn't working. as soon as I get the results I;m looking for a new doctor!

Husband had a early morning appointment for a colonoscopy and we finaly got out of there at 4:00pm, it was the worst experience ever!! Nobody knew what they were doing, no one came to us to explain why the wait was so long, my hisband was laying in this bed for hours, I finally tracked down a nurse and asked her what was going on and she said the Dr. was running behind (no pun intended) and when I said to her " Well it would have been nice if someone would have had the decency to come tell us", her response was: Don't shoot the messenger!! Very unprofessional. His attitude stinks.

Most terrible experience I've had with a doctor. His only job was to do an EGD on me and walk me out the door without proper diagnosis or treatment. When I called him to tell him that my symptoms weren't better, he dismissed my complaints and blamed it on stress. Prescribed me a medication that made everything worse. He isn't interested in patient care, only interested in procedures.

Wasn't able to schedule a 6wk follow up after colonoscopy for 13 weeks...made me feel like I was preventing him from doing something important...he kept checking his phone during a 2nd appt., doubled meds that i told him didn't work, and one, the insurance supposedly won't cover the dose. Someone from the office was supposed to call me and let me know when it was ready to pick up at the pharmacy once they got it straightened out...that was 2 1/2 months ago...Still waiting!!! and still no diagnosis

When I used him for my colonoscopy, the nurses placed the IV in my wrist joint. At the time, I told them it hurt but nothing was done. The next morning I had to go to the ER for my hand, wrist, and arm. Doctor there said someone must have pulled on my hand when turning me. This only gets worse. When returning to hear the results of my biopsies, he told me in from of my husband, I needed to have a colonoscopy. I told him I did 3 weeks ago and he said no I didnot. He spent more time with an Intern talking than to me. His dog spent more time with me then he did. I reported him to the medical board and he lied! He said the IV was in my elbow not my wrist. Well, I do believe that I know my wrist from my elbow. STAY AWAY from him.

I know Dr.Benes professionally as well as from the viewpoint as a family member of his patient. Dr.Benes is always courteous, knowledgeable and professional regarding medical matters. He listens. It is very easy to schedule a colonoscopy and/or EGD with his office (my husband had both procedures.) I do not have one bad thing to say about the man.
