Dr. George Thomas Bernardo, MD

Office staff are so rude even if you call for an appointment they are rude on the phone. Dr Bernardo is wonderful but he really needs to hire different people. It’s so disheartening to be treated poorly when you’re not feeling well.

I have found Dr. Bernardo to be a very thorough and good doctor, if you can get in to see him. Chances are that his staff will never answer their phone or return your calls. And when you finally go to his office to make an appointment personally because you could not get through on the phone, they treat you as if you are an alien from another planet. They only reason I give Dr. Bernardo two stars is because he is a good doctor. If I had to rate his staff, they would get 0 stars.

Not only is Dr Bernardo a great DR. his MA Paula is the person that holds his office together. She truly cares about his/her patients. Its like being with family because of her. She will hug you when you need it, laugh and cry with you, she goes beyond staff,she is family!

I have known Dr. Bernardo since he was still a resident at Halifax Hospital, probably twenty years ago. Never have I met a more professional and caring Doctor in my life.

Absolutely worst experience I have ever had a dr Appt. The office staff is rude and no sympathy to illness. I returned a week after my appt after calling repeatedly to only voice mail, and asked to get a refill on script that I was still sick. Dr Bernardo apparently was busy, then not there, so it's nice to know ur lied to right off the bat. Then I asked just to get a new script and the answer was no and I needed to wait 45 mins to see another dr and pay a new copayment. It's nice to know when your not fixed u get to keep paying for mistreatment.
