Excellent Dr and surgeon who saved my life. I highly recommend Dr Bishop.

Do not use this doctor. Trust me

I have been going to see Dr.Bishop for less than a year and can not say enough about his care. His office staff bent over backwards to assist me. For example, I previously had surgery with another physician that resulted in repeated complications. One phone call explaning my needs/concerns to Dr. Bishop,and I was worked in the same day for proper care. That was a lot of work on very short notice, and I am very appreciative. From entering his office and working with his staff to the cleanliness and order of his treatment room, all the way to the check out process – his office and professionalism is second to none. As for the care he provides I truly appreciated his approach of treating me as a whole, not a collection of potential problems. Although he has many patients each day, he always manages his time in such a way that he gives himself time to focus on me as his patient – no hurried review of my file and no rush out the door to his next patient. He truly cares about me as a… patient and as an individual. Dr. Bishop is a fantastic doctor and nothing I can say really does justice to the man: he is extremely intelligent, a compassionate and caring person ,and a truly outstanding doctor. I count myself truly lucky to have found him. Dr. Bishop spends an ample amount of time with me on each office visit. He listens to my concerns, treats the problems at hand, and follows up personally after procedures. He is also interested and is interesting; a good combination. His jokes are the best, and help make the procedures often less uncomfortbable Trust me on this: you will like the man. He genuinely cares, he is professional and he makes an investment in the health and well being of his patients.

just now DID NOT SHOW UP FOR SURGERY. My brother showed up at the hospital at 6:00 AM, as instructed to do by Dr. Bishio's office the day before. He was scheduled to be the 2nd patient. The first patient was under anesthesia, they called Dr. Bishop to notify him the patient was ready, it was at that point Dr. Bishop told them he was out of town. His office manager spoke with the OR that morning to make sure all surgeries were a ago. The Dr. did not notify anyone he was out of town.

This doctor takes very little time and if you have complications he avoids seeing you. He did surgery without reviewing the rectal function tests he ordered. Corrective Surgery was required by another doctor to correct his botched surgery. Find a doctor who is not too busy to do a good job

This doctor almost took my life. After several attempts to correct HIS MISTAKE, he said he didn't know what to do. He gave up on me. I had a minor problem, which he was to correct with a 'simple procedure'. He punctured my colon and after several attempts to correct his mistake, he gave up. I ended up making several trips to the Mayo Clinic and fortunately found someone who could fix the mess he created. The worst part is that he never called to check on me. No card, no phone call, nothing. This was 7 years ago. My colostomy is gone but I still suffer repercussions from his neglect.

I was referred to his wound clinic by a relative who had never used his services. During a visit, he treated the wound and told his nurse to admit me. That night I started bleeding. Several doctors tried unsuccessfully to repair it. I have been told that the wound will never heal.

He removed 8 inches of my husband's colon. He was kind, compassionate, informative, excellent throughout from office visit to dismissal. His associates made visits twice daily and so did he. I can't say enough about him and the entire staff.

This is the doctor for you if you don't mind waiting for hours in a cold room naked. Then being chided for complaining. I am hoping these online reviews will eventually cause M.D's with a God complex to at least act somewhat human.
