Dr. George Steven Chrysant, MD

I recently has a blocked carotid artery and was fortunate to get Dr Chrysant as my doctor. When , during a stint procedure, the Dr found a blood clot that needed to be surgically removed, he advocated strongly on my behalf with the surgeon and we were able to get the surgery performed and the blood clot removed the same day. I felt much more at ease knowing he had my back while I was sedated and couldnt advocate for myself. I was also glad that he had the respect of the surgeon, so when he did go to bat for me, the surgeon was willing to listen to him. My story had a happy ending in great part because of Dr Chrysant's persistence and experience.

Very full of himself. I went to this "doctor" for a diagnosis for chest pain and was treated as if I were an uneducated fool who was beneath his contempt. This person decided not to listen to anything I had to say upon entering the room. It was clear to me by his attitude, form and demeanor he was having trouble speaking to an individual who was not troubled with alzhiemer's or feeble-minded enough to speak about their own mind and opinions about their own body and health. Obviously a inconsiderate person who is used to getting his own way was my overall assessment.He may have a degree, but he is not a professional. Period.

I thank God that he was at the Hospital the day I came in an ambulance to the ER having a heart attack. He did what he had to do to save my life. Dr. Chrysant and his Physician Assistant are both very professional and explain everything so that you understand. I would highly recommend Dr. Chrysant for sure.

He has misled me into thinking that my condition was good following 2 angiograms and a nuclear stress test. Each test was propagated by my complaint of chest pains that began to occur about 3 years after a coronary bypasa I had done in Chicago. This time he recommended a stent in my right main artery...telling me for the first time that it was 75% blocked. I asked him why I had never been told this before and he mumbled something like maybe we should have done something. We scheduled the angiogram and he was over an hour late even though it was his first appointment in the a.m. When I awakened after the procedure I was informed that he was not able to insert a stent because I was now 100% blocked....should have been done years ago. Made an appointment with him for 10 days later and when I was taken to the exam room, I was informed that he was not in today!! I now have no idea what to do , what my options are, how to prevent further problems. Very dissatisfied and looking to go to Mayo.

Dr. Chrysant is a wonderful cardiologist. He presents as a true professional. He not only has the outstanding medical ability to treat his patients but in addition to this he listens to his patients and I have never left an appointment with him without full knowledge and understanding of my medical condition. He has a gift with his bed side manner, always positive and smiling and without a doubt you know he cares so much about his patients. The medical profession needs more Doctor's like him. I am a professional Doctor in the area of Psychology and my expectations are quite high, however Dr. Chrysant goes above and beyond what is required for his patients.

I had a heart attack and the best thing to come out of it was getting him for a doctor. I trust his care completely, for the stent and the aftercare, he was perfect.
