Dr. George Donald Comerci JR., MD

I was a patient of Dr. Comerci's for over five years and saw him primarily for joint pain, upper respiratory infections, psoriasis and occasional anxiety. For years, I was sent to physical therapy and prescribed anti-inflammatories for joint pain. It always helped to a point but I was often in pain. At one point, I insisted on being treated for chronic inflammation of my rib. Dr. Comerci told me it was a torn ligament and sent me to a pain specialist. I never did understand why the root cause was never addressed. But I was a compliant patient and listened to my doctor. After relocating elsewhere, my inflamed rib and chronic joint pain was enough evidence for my primary care physician to send me to a rheumatologist who diagnosed me with psoriatic arthritis. I had held Dr. Comerci in the highest esteem as a physician and had referred several friends and colleagues to him. I was devastated to learn that I suffered for years and damage had been done to my joints because my primary care… physician didn't make the connection. Dr. Comerci is a really nice guy. But I still can't figure out how he could have missed this.
