I have been a patient of Dr. Costea for 30+ years and have nothing but the highest admiration for him. He is a caring doctor who goes out of his way to help his patients. He also donates his time helping indigent clients in the Cass Corridor. Most important, he instills hope within his patients by his excellent bedside manner and optimistic attitude. He recently lost a leg to complications stemming from a kidney transplants, but took it in stride choosing to remain optimistic rather than assuming a "poor me" attitude. He is not only an excellent doctor, but a wonderful man.

I had a very bad eye infection. Costea prescribed drops that made me feel like I was pouring acid in my eyes. I went to an ophthalmologist who said Costea had prescribed exactly the wrong thing. The specialist gave me the right drops which brought immediate relief. Costea misdiagnosed my brother's hernia and nearly caused his death. If you value your health, find another doctor. Yes, he's nice, but he's also dangerously incompetent and has zero diagnostic skills.

I've had Dr. Costea as my family doctor for over 30 years. Even after I moved out of state, I still keep him as my personal doctor and make appointments for routine physicals when I'm in town. He is courteous, professional, and takes the time to answer questions and listen to any medical concerns I have. I've visited other doctors and have felt rushed as if my questions were putting them behind schedule, but this has never been the case with Dr. Costea. Since I live far away, I've also been able to call in and talk to his nurses (or have left a message and he has called me back) in regard to medical or prescription questions. Best doctor I've had.

We could not ask for a more caring doctor. Dr Costea is very compassionate,kind,trust worthy,honest and giving. He is one of the best!

I've been Dr. Costea's patient almost since he started his practice. First off, he is the nicest man - very caring and a real sweetheart. He has a sense of humor, which makes him easy to be around.As a practitioner, he is thorough and he has always been able to help me with my issues. I know he asks the right questions and he doesn't prescribe excessive medication; he prescribes the lowest possible dose when appropriate. His staff is comprised of some very nice people. The nurses are there for you; they answer a myriad of questions patiently. Overall, an excellent practice.

This doctor is simply the best Doctor I've ever been to (I have seen alot and never felt more comfortable with this doctor) very, very compasionate! excellent bed side manors! highly recommend this doctor!!! he will explain things to you so that you fully understand what he is talking about and makes sure you understand to the fullest...
