Dr. George Bashir Deckey, MD

Dr. Deckey preformed surgery on my left internal carotid to remove plaque. He left town the next day for a week. Supposedly he turned me over to an associate —Dr. Cheung. I was released the next day. The following day I returned to The hospital with a temperature and an infection and was readmitted. Eventually the swelling became dangerously close to closing off my traecha and I was moved to Intensive Care to be close to the surgical area in case the swelling got worse and required emergency surgery. Subsequently after several days I was released. During the post op appointment Dr. Deckey was unaware of any of my complications—in fact I had to inform him!!! No wonder he had mediocre reviews!!!

Excellent surgeon!! I believe he saved my life! So very grateful. I suffered so long with severe diverticulitis. It has been seven months since my surgery and I have my life back thanks to Dr. Deckey!! Thank you Dr. Deckey!

I told the Doctor my history about the hernia. His response was I was 80 years old and he would not do the procedure. He suggested I wear the hernia belt, that I told him I had, then he told me if I started have pain and it became so bad I couldn't stand it go to emergency immediately. I have some medical problems, but my Cardiologist cleared me to have the procedure done. Over the years I have had contact with several Doctors they all wanted to try and help, but I didn't sense the with Dr. Deckey.

DR. Decky did me a very big favor after I was hurt on the job and pyramid services screwed me out of their responsibility to take care of my work related injury, if it wasn't for the Dr. I would have been up a creek

I'm very thankful to Dr Deckey.

I normally do not read this stuff knowing how the negative are going to push their views; and a person who was satisfied and happy goes away saying nothing. I found Doctor Deckey to be one of the greatest doctors I have ever encountered. The only reason I am writing this is to make one small view to all those that insist they left his office either in a casket or a ambulance. When you read this junk keep in mind that there are those that would have complained when Paul Revere made the great ride into history. They would have found something to complain about. Personally I think we are very lucky to have him in our area. I did not give him the high ratings because he is or was a friend or relative i did it because he earned it.

I would not recommend Dr. Deckey. I was not pleased with him at all. He seemed to be very unsure of himself. Care and follow-up was poor. Had to have 2 surgeries instead of one.

I had to have an emergency surgery and my primary doctor referred me to Dr. Deckey. Dr. Deckey saw me that day and had me on the surgery list for the following day. He was respectful and discussed the procedure before and after the surgery to my husband. His staff was very helpful and kind as well.

Never again!
