Dr. Derenzo is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from LaSalle University and then attended Temple University Dental School. After graduation from dental school, he spent a year in a general practice residency at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens. He then returned to Philadelphia to spend a four year period in general practice. He returned to Temple University …Dental School to earn his Certificate of Training in Pediatric Dentistry and also a Masters of Science degree in Oral Biology from Temple University Graduate School. During this time he saw the direct correlation between dental treatment of children and the causes and needs for orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Derenzo attended Fairleigh Dickerson University Dental School in Hackensack, New Jersey and earned a Certificate of Training in Orthodontics. Since that time he had the opportunity to practice in the Philadelphia and New York metropolitan areas. He served as Chief of Orthodontics at Schneider Children's Hospital in New Hyde Park, New York treating children with acute, uncommon, and/or medical and dental problems.
Dr. Derenzo received his dental license in the state of Delaware and opened his current specialty practice located in North Wilmington. His goal is to provide high quality care to the young people of Delaware and surrounding areas. He is interested in seeing that his patients gain an awareness of their dental needs, learn to successfully address those needs and become adults in good dental health with a positive attitude toward dentistry.
