Dr. George Ernest Fant, MD

Dr. Fant gave me an SI injection today at Gadsden Regional Hospital. From our initial meeting (which was after I was prepped and in the OR) I knew he was a caring, experienced physician. He explained what would occur to me and his assisting nurses (who I assumed work with a plethora of doctors, each of whom has his or her own expectations) clearly and briefly. The procedure was much less stressful to me than my first such injection. Afterward, he was kind enough to use his phone to take a screen shot of my X-Ray showing the joint issues so he could show it to my husband to explain my issues. As I waited in recovery, he was involved in another procedure nearby, and I heard him explaining and teaching two other student nurses with patience and enthusiasm, respecting their position and never once making them feel inadequate as he prepared them to be better professionals. I’d never even heard this doctor’s name before he walked into that operating room. Today, I got the best of the… best!!
