Dr. George Ferenczi, MD

Having abdominal pain, thinking it was another case of diverticulitis, I went to ER and had a CT scan that came back negative. Went to Dr. Ferenczi shortly after and got little help so I had a second apmt. Asking him if it could be something that didn't show on the CT scan, he replied "you want me to cut you open to find out?" Quit seeing him. Another gastroenterologist did an upper GI and found I was having Gastritis and prescribed medication for it.

I was referred to Dr. Ferenczi two years ago for chronic GI issues and significant weight loss. After a short conversation, Dr. Ferenczi told me that I have IBS and that yoga would probably help my symptoms. He told me that he would perform an endoscopy on me if I wanted him to for reassurance, but he was certain it would be normal. Of course, I agreed to this because I was certain there was more going on than just IBS. Following my endoscopy, Dr. Ferenczi's office called me to let me know everything was normal. I never heard from him again, no follow-up appointment, and my symptoms never improved. Unfortunately, I trusted Dr. Ferenczi's diagnosis and did not seek a second opinion right away. Recently, I finally decided to see a new doctor. The first thing my new doctor told me was, "You do not have IBS. IBS does not make you lose weight, and I don't know why anyone would have told you that." Within 2 weeks of seeing this new doc, I was found to have two intestinal parasites that I got… while traveling abroad. While I had told Dr. Ferenczi about my travel history, and my weight loss definitely indicated the possibility of a parasite, he never thought to test me for this. I am extremely angry that I have been living with these symptoms for years, when they easily could have been treated at that time, if he had truly listened to what I was experiencing. Dr. Ferenczi made hasty assumptions regarding my diagnosis, was not willing to think outside of the box for answers, and disregarded the severity of my symptoms, because he was certain it was "just IBS." Thanks for the advice Dr. Ferenczi, but shockingly, yoga did not help to get rid of my parasites!

Dr. Ferenczi has been my doctor for many years and gives exceptional care. He is connected to USC and is a brilliant physician.

Great and experienced Dr. He's the best. Wouldn't go to anyone else. He's done over 25000 colonoscopies. I want an expert when it comes to this procedure

If you want to see a doctor who is on time every time, go and see Dr Ferenczi. He is punctual and professional. I feel that he really does care about me as a person. Hemakes sure that the patient and their family understand the procedure results. I would recommend this doctor to my family and friends.

My brother had a colonoscopy today with Dr. Ferenczi at Foothill Presbyterian. Dr. Ferenczi treated us just how a physician should: clear and cordial diagnosis and very attentive to questions. The entire experience ran like clockwork with no awkward waiting times. I would be pleased to recommend this physician to others.

As a nurse, I work with a lot of doctors. When I went to see dr. Ferenczi as a patient, I was pleasantly surprised to find him not only professional and capable, but caring as well. He answered all my questions, and didn't assume that because I was a nurse, I knew everything. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

this doctor actually was unable to figure out what my issue was, and told me "there are certain kinds of pain you just have to live with" this guy was so far off after I got a second opinion I was referred to a surgeon. Unbelievable. And now this jerks angry office staff is dogging me for a bill that was paid by my insurance. Worst doctor experience Ive ever had. If you take your car to a mechanic, and they cant fix anything, do you still have to pay?
