Dr. George Bernard Gancayco, MD

My husband, our three adult children and I have been patients here for 24 years and all see George and/or Jamie Gancayco. They are wonderful, caring and thorough doctors who truly care about and get to know their patients. Yes, sometimes the wait times are lengthy but that is because they take time and talk with their patients…I know I am waiting because someone else is also getting excellent care. Their patients are people, not just numbers or dollar signs.

Started being seen here in 1998 and still here why? Because good service from well educated people is hard to find and Dr George is one of them that I can speak of. Yea the wait sucks at times and I am willing to forgive that in exchange for a real physician that cares.

The receptionists are dishonest and not willing to admit to or correct their mistakes. Dr. George is habitually running >30 minutes behind... IF they even have you down for an appointment, that is. If you make an appt, you better get it in writing because if you don't, you'll show up and they'll tell you that they don't have you in their system. Basically... You'll take time off work (which costs you money) to go to your appointment... Then they blow off your appointment (which means you have to take off work again which costs you more money)... And after all their mistakes you get nothing (but if you make a mistake you'll be charged so be cautious). They don't care about current patients, they don't care about losing or bringing in new patients... They only care about which insurance you'll be using. My advice, GO ELSEWHERE. 'Caring family' my @$$!

Staff quarreled over who had to weigh the children. Doctor was sick himself, and spent little time with us. Horrible Horrible experience. Go elsewhere.

I've been his patient for years. He has never rushed my appointment and has always asked pertinent questions. Dr. G is a caring, compassionate and thorough physician.

Spends as much time with you as you need him to. Answers EVERY question

Dr. George Gancayco treats our entire family and he goes beyond what is expected of any Dr. He sits and talks well after the appt. is over and gets to know you as a person. He truely cares for his patients. I thought that he just really liked my husband but when I brought my son in I noticed that he focused soley on my son and held a conversation with him to get to know him. That is a mark of a great doctor. He did the same with myself when I needed to be seen and then asked how my husband was doing. It was like a dr from 1950 that made house calls that knows your family because he delivered your kids. He always manages to squeeze us in at a last min apt without an issue. We love Dr. G. Gancayco and the staff is just as great!

I don't mind waiting to see Dr. Gancayco, because he spends as much time with each patient as necessary. This includes listening to any questions or concerns I may have as well as provided a detailed explanation of my condition, as necessary. He reminds me of the way doctors were with patients decades ago. Patient are important to him.
