Dr. George Samuel Garfein, MD

This man has treated my entire family for years. He listens and does his best to advocate for you.

Dr. Garfein is a good dr. He listens and tries to figure out what's wrong and if he can't he will send you to someone who might be able to help.....but his so called nurse, his wife who is not a nurse and came from a golf course thinks she... I agree 28th the other post.. She will tell you what she "knows" the dr. Will say. Then when she related the message to the dr. She puts it in her own words to make her sound good. Also don't call about billing matters because both office women, wife included makes it sound like if there's a problem its on your end not theirs and tells you to call whoever does their billing. Their phone etiquette sucks. They have no manners when talking to patients. This is after I've gone to him for over 30 years...longer then he's been 38th his "nurse-wife.

I have to disagree with the previous review. I have found Dr. Garfein to be quite helpful and very concerned with his patients care. I saw him for an injury last year and he did everything he could to find out the cause of the injury and treatment. He cares quite a bit for his patients and I will not go to another doctor in Yakima due to his care.

He does not care about his patients. He claims he will help with referrals, but he does not. He nurse "wife" tell the patient what the Garfein will say before she asks him. He just writes prescriptions out for morphine and does not try to find the source for the medical problem. I've never seen a practice and a doctor like this. He is old and has not clue what he is doing! For example, he told my mother-in-law, who has diabetes that she only needs to check her blood sugar every other morning. I just about fell out of my chair. I am in the medical field,I could not believe he said that. He told her that her blood sugar is fine for her when it is 230. Really??? Come on. Dr. Garfein time to retire!
