I cannot espouse the virtues enough for this fine man and exceptional surgeon. 6 stars! Worth the drive to Hudson for anyone experiencing spinal issues.

Dr. G is very professional, caring, very experienced at what he does. The whole experience went well! I had back surgery and now I am back to walking without a cane or walker. His staff was very nice and pleasant!

Refused to even see me because I only have Medicare and Medicaid...rude and uncaring staff. We don't take your kind. Wow just wow

Dr. Giannakopoulos help me out after two other surgeon said there was nothing they could do for me. He is an excellent surgeon that everybody should know about I can't say enough good things about him

Dr. George Giannakopoulos REQUIRES a signed legal binding contract from ALL patients hidden within their intake paperwork BEFORE his initial consultation. Patient MUST agree to pay out-of-pocket for any-and-all charges not deemed reasonable or medically necessary by insurance - and therefore not covered. I walked out without hesitation and will certainly inform my referring doc of this coercive practice. The onus for following insurance guidelines must be on the professional provider, not the patient! BEWARE OF THIS PREDATORY BUSINESS.

"You got very bad advice"... yes, that's what was said regarding Dr. Giannakopoulos suggestion to my mother that she just simply tolerate her brain tumor and live life the best she can, falling down and imparted mobility and all.... that's what he said she should do. I'm thankful that i insisted on a second opinion and go to speak to a medical team that treats this serious medication condition with the urgency it requires. "Dr. G.''s advice should be verified with a more experienced neurosurgeon from a facility like Shands. You owe it to yourself and your loved ones to seek the advice of up-to-date experts.

So i have been in pain since last saturday. I have a new problem with my legs going numb. I call my pain doctor 3 and no call back. So i decide to call Dr. G. I wanted his opinion on what i should do as going to emergency or ice or heat. He then asks me about my pills and if they are working? I said NO ! Then he has the nerve to say i'm just looking for pills !!!!!!! I didn't ask for anything because i know nothing is gonna work. He asked me about the last time i was in his office and what we discussed? We talked about surgery i will need and HE TOLD ME I NEED TO BE ON STRONGER MEDICATION AND HE WOULD CALL MY PAIN DOCTOR AND SUGGEST IT TO HIM. I could care less about pills. I need my back fixed!!! He was very unprofessional on the phone and yelled at me and hung up on me !!!

I called for an appointment and they wouldn't even talk to me without Medicare supplemental insurance! What kind of care and compassion is that for someone in pain and needing surgery? NEVER call them if you aren't rich!
