Dr. George Victor Gibson JR., DO

He does not even deserve one star! Dr. George Victor Gibson performed a total hip replacement on me. Placed the rotator cup incorrectly. Causing my hip to go out of socket 4 times because it was tilted the wrong way. This should have been caught on x-rays after my surgery and corrected then. I had four dislocations and let me tell you they are extremely painful. I also had a total of four surgeries on that hip. First surgery was Dr Gibson performing the total hip replacement, second surgery I had the size of a grapefruit in diameter filled with fluid that Doctor Gibson had me come in every day for days until I finally told him you can't put a needle in there anymore it hurts. It would build up so much fluid he'd have to drain it every day. Approximately 6 months later my hip went out of socket and I was told I needed to get revision surgery on that hip replacement. My hip went out of socket after the revision surgery three times and I had to have another total hip replacement done a… little over a year ago. There is absolutely no excuse for this happening to me. I've gone through a lot of excruciating pain because of the surgery doctor Gibson performed. I deal with horrible pain everyday because of everything my hip has been through. I would not recommend Dr. Gibson to anyone!!! It's been approximately one month and I've realized how negligent he was with me.

Dr Gibson replaced my left hip yesterday and I am already experiencing great improvement. He’s previously replaced both knees and my right hip. I am so very grateful that he chose Livingston MI to practice. I will always recommend him without any reservation.

Had both hips replaced, 1 year apart, by Dr. Gibson. Absolutely no issues with Dr. Gibson. Straight and to the point. Answered every single one of my questions. Whoever wrote the review calling him a p.o.s. is rude and needs to see a different type of specialist. Dr. Gibson is just fine in my book!

Dr. George Gibson, has improved my life 100%, when I think back to the condition my knees were in, it was really not smart on my part, to put it off for so long.He did the first knee it went very well. The second was completed five weeks later. The discomfort of the rehab was minimal as compared to the original pain I endured. The whole office staff he has assembled is first class.An besides that the girls liked my seven month old grand daughter, when she would accompany me, for my office visits. Thank You Tim Sullivan

Dr Gibson performed my hip replacement surgery and did a fantastic job. He explained everything and answered all of my questions prior and after. Will definitely go to him again!

Dr. Gibson did an amazing job, he was the first doc that listened to my concerns and offered a procedure that very few can offer. The surgery was flawless the recovery was shorter and better than expected. A very professional team that gave me an excellent outcome, I could not be more pleased, I feel like I made the right choice, thank you!

when to see him he was rude and didn't Diagnose me correctly and still dealing with that. Wouldn't recommend him at all.

The worst doctor I have ever seen would not recommend him to ANYONE very disappointed that my Doctor recommended him. I wished I would have seen the review s first before going to him because I wouldn’t have gone to him at all. He is very rude, doesn’t have manners at all. Wouldn’t even listen to what I had to say. Very self-centered person did even take time to ask how I was doing. I went to him 3 months ago and I am still in a lot of pain. My experience with him was terrible and I met with him twice. I don’t know how he even is able to be a doctor at all. Please take time out and go to all the reviews you can before seeing him. I will not rate him at all because he doesn't deserve one star! Unfortunately you have to rate this POS or you can't post.

I went to him for a hip problem and just before they took me in to have an injection done, I told him I had been in pain the past week and he replied, "what do you expect, you are old and have arthritis". Injection lasted less than a week. I never went back and found a REAL doctor and had a hip replacement with great results.
