Had a cath placement last week. Dr G. is attentive and gentle. Kept me informed about what he was doing. Big plus he worked with my PCP.

I thought Dr Hartnell was excellent. Going in I did not know what to expect. He took the time to explain everything to me throughout the entire procedure.

Dr Hartnell was fantastic. He took the time to explain all the details to me, talked me through the process and then, kept me up to date during the process. I was kept comfortable through the procedure and he followed up with me afterwards. It was quick and efficient and he seemed very skilled at this procedure.

Dr. Hartnell is an excellent physician. He explained the port and the procedure to install it..He and his staff made me feel very relaxed and comforting. It was a very pleasant experience.

Dr. Hartnell and his supportive teams performed 3 procedures and each time explained what would happen in great detail. then during each procedure, let me know exactly what was going to happen next. they inspire confidence in their abilities, and are completely professional and approachable. I was completely comfortable with Dr. Hartnell and each team.

He reviewed procedure with me beforehand and it was executed precisely as described, no surprises. The assisting staff was equally attentive. Recovery has been proceeding as expected.

Dr. Hartnell is a very compassionate physician. He took as much time as I needed to help me understand the surgical procedure and what to do in order to avoid infection. I would strongly recommend him to any patient.

After several months of excruciating pain, my mom (96 years old) was referred to Dr. Hartnell with two compression fractures in her spine. Dr. Hartnell suggested kyphoplasty and explained in detail what the procedure involved. Mom decided to have the procedure at Baystate Springfield and left the hospital that afternoon pain free. He, personally, followed up a few days later by phone to be sure there were no problems. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Hartnell.
