Dr. George T Hodakowski, MD

Dr. George (as he said we can call him) did a triple bypass on my 90 year old father. He is an exceptional surgeon and a true patient advocate. He fought for my dad when other medical professionals wanted to go backwards in his care because they were too lazy to work with him for a better outcome. He is a true blessing to our family who took great pains to fight for our patriarch. We are forever grateful.

Dr. Hodakowski is the most compassionate, caring, brilliant surgeon I have ever met. He is willing to go above and beyond for his patients and he will never treat anyone less than family. I wouldn’t recommend any other CV surgeon.

Dr Hodakowski is the surgeon you want to care for your loved one. He explains complicated medical situations very well and cares that the patient and the family be fully informed and comfortable. His medical and communication skills gave my family great confidence that our loved one was in caring and competent hands.

I understand surgeons will recommend surgery, but this doctor was downright pushy and dishonest about it. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. If you ask for a second option he gets defensive and angry. I will say with full confidence, based on my experience with this doctor, he is very dishonest, greedy, and lacks compassion. Time to throw in the towel doctor and do a profession you enjoy rather than look at patients as a paycheck. Patients are people with families that love them, and your recommendation of surgery for someone that doesn't need it can cost that person their life. Medicine is about saving lives, not putting them in danger for greed $$$ (insurance payment). You taught me a very valuable life lesson at the most unfortunate, vulnerable, stressful time. To anyone reading this review, know that doctors might not have YOUR best interest in mind. No matter how tired, stressed, sick you may be, you are your own best advocate. You will have to deal with the… consequences of your medical choices. Shame on you Mr Hodakowski, I can't even call you "doctor" because that implies a position of respect and trust, one you do not deserve , based on my experience with you.

If I ever need an operation George would be My Man. I truly believe He saved My Wife's life.In a lifetime You meet 4 or 5 exceptional People George is one of My 5.

Wonderful, knowledgeable, great bed-side manner. Would highly recommend this doctor for any heart surgery!

I had emergency coronary artery bypass graft surgery from Dr. Hodakowski in the summer of 2008, and not only did he do a great job from a medical standpoint (I can barely see my chest incision) but he also has a great personality and sense of humor. It was very reassuring during a time of personal crisis. He gets my vote!
