Dr. George Katsamakis, MD

Misdiagnosed with MS. Multiple--Major errors in medical records of visit. Took strong MS medicine for years unnecessarily. Medicine cost over 8K a month. Missed symptoms. You will see nurse prac. not Dr.

just had my first visit with Katsumakis. He is respectful, articulate, caring and informative. I was impressed.

Best MS Dr out there, period!!

After seeing Dr. Katsamakis this past week, I was quickly reminded of why I followed him to his current practice away from Rush many years ago. I've been seeing Dr. K since 1998, when I was just newly diagnosed with MS. It took me 9 Neurologists to find one with the depth of MS knowledge which George has. Additionally, he has compassion, forward thinking and patience for my many questions. While MS is very unpredictable and inconsistent, it provides me great confidence knowing that I am in such capable and brilliant hands with his care. I honestly feel very blessed to have a physician who is this genuine. Overall, I've never met a better Doctor... who also happens to be a great human being!!

If your loved one needs true care and a doctor that understands their needs this is the last place you want to be at. Fake, confrontational and useless are probably his best traits. As someone mentioned here does like notes, questions. We have arrived to his office, I arrived on time however my wife got held up by the construction zone next to his office(some one in the office should give us heads up). I informed the staff of it was told to sit down and wait. Shortly after George storms out and starts yelling at me about the appointment and educating me how he has other things to do. This is happening while my wife is walking up to the office and needes serious medical attention due to her MS side effects. We decided to go look for professional care. In the beginning seemed nice, neurologist with a Bipolar disorder.

I think hes very friedly and never had problem with him. I would recommend him.

Condensending, badmouthing other doctors and leading institutions, rude, didn't bother to run a single test and declared a diagnosis without them. Hated patient taking notes, the list goes on...

The 2 area's accurate dignosis & follow up visit, i cant rate yet. But what i did see & experience was fantastic!!!

I really like Dr. Katsamakis. He explains my options and lets me choose which one I want. My previous neurologist just prescribed and didn't at all care about the side effects of the drugs. The problem with Dr. Katsamakis is his staff. I have never once called and actually had a person answer the phone. I always have to leave a message after going through a telephone maze and sitting on hold for a long time. Then I have to wait for someone to call back. Sometimes it takes days, and often the person calling back is downright rude. I want to keep seeing Dr. Katsamakis, but every time I've had to call for an appointment or prescription refill, I'm ready to go somewhere else.
