Dr. George Laws, MD

Our family LOVES Dr Laws! We wish he was in private practice. He is so thorough, kind but "tell it like it is" ! He is a wealth of knowledge. How he remembers patients and their history is mind blowing. His common sense, down to earth bedside manner is refreshing. The hospital is lucky to have him, his patients are blessed and well cared for.

We met Dr Laws when my husband was in the emergency room & Dr Laws was able to diagnose his problem right away; bleeding ulcers. Turned out be had 6. My husband & I both wanted him as our Dr when he opened his office & Eddie was, I believe, his first patient. We love him.

Poor follow up from nurse practitioner, requested prescription,was told MD approved it and would fax, never faxed, another discipline requested same prescription, told it would be faxed again, they never did, Has caused delay in treatment. Would you want your relative to go through that?

Really like this Doctor but feel his staff has some shortcomings. Trying to get a return phone call from the nurse for consultation is difficult. This may be do to the enormous patient load this doctor has. Getting an ppointment to see the doctor also falls into the difficult category.

I'm kicking myself around the block for not changing to Dr Laws sooner! I have been with him for over a year now and have never been happier with a health care provider. He listens to me! Imagine that! He understands I know my body better than anyone. He is very knowlegable about medication and dedicated to his patients. I've never known a Dr. who was so encouraging and encourages you to be pro-active in your own health care. Yes, I would recommend him! Three of my friends have changed to Dr Laws and each has thanked me for telling them about him.

I can't even get them to email or send new patient forms as I'm disabled so I can get medical records sent to them. That is definitely a reflection on this doctor. Typical New Mexico attitude. Staff on the phone were not friendly or concerned at all.

The staff seem efficient but not friendly or welcoming. Dealing with the staff is my only complaint.
