Dr. George F Leydon III, DO

My husband has had chronic severe pain for over a year without being able to find the cause. This year, we were finally able to discover what the source of his debilitating pain might be. Dr.Leydon claims to have told a near-by clinic that this matter is urgent, yet the "soonest" appointment he has gotten for us is 5 months out. There is NO reason my husband should have to suffer for 5 additional months if Dr.Leydon truly cared about my husbands urgent condition and needs. Steer clear of this doctor. He does not care for his patients.

Dr. Leydon takes time to make you feel heard and understood. He explains things in ways that are easy to understand. He makes you feel like he is taking you seriously. He seems very knowledgeable.

Dr. Leydon has been my primary care physician for 5+ years. He always takes the time to listen to my issues and asks appropriate second level questions to ensure that he understands my concerns. He sometimes runs a little behind, but that has never bothered me because I know that he will take the time that is required to assist me to the best of his ability when it's my turn.I feel he is knowledgeable, personable, approachable and committed to providing the best of care. If answers need to be looked for he will see that you get to a specialist or see to it you are scheduled for any diagnostic tests needed to move forward. I highly recommend him.

I'm new to Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin, but not new to medical systems. I had my initial intake appointment with Dr. Leydon and as a middle-age man, had a number of items to cover, to watch moving forward, etc. There are many things I appreciate about the appointment and our conversation. When setting up an initial appointment with a GHC primary care doctor, I asked for someone who was comfortable with LGBT people. I clearly got the right person. Dr. Leydon's comfort and fluid conversation with me through the topics I wanted to talk about put me at ease. His use of "my" language when talking about sex made me immediately comfortable with him. And offering Prep (HIV pre-medication), while I don't require it, assured me that he was comfortable with all of my dimensions. I also appreciated Dr. Leydon asking about my spouse, so often I have to leave him out to make others feel comfortable with me. As much as I worked well with my prior doctors and nurse… practitioners and the health care was superb, none of them put me at ease like Dr. Leydon. I highly recommend him, especially for LGBT folk.

Every time I have seen Dr. Leydon, I have left satisfied. He answers my questions and diagnosis my problem. Nothing negative about this doctor or the staff
