Dr. George D Lyle, MD

Going to see him was a waste of my time and money. Rude. Doesn’t listen to anything. Waited an hour to have him see me for 5 minutes and not even listen to what I am there for. He is a disgrace to human beings and doctors. Don’t waste your time. See another doc.

When I told Dr. Lyle that there was fluid in my ear and that two other doctors had also suggested there was fluid in my ear after he said otherwise he said that the other Doctors didn't know what they were talking about and he shouted at me that it was "impossible". He and I both knew it is very possible that there was fluid in my ear but he did not want to change his diagnoses. Upon actually hearing me say something to him after not being able to get a word in edgewise; He literally snarled at the dissonance. -Who was I to try and tell him my own symptoms and what the urgent care doctor and family doctor had told me? - Dr. Lyle failed to even mention to me that my hearing loss could have been due to a tear in my inner ear membrane even though it was written in his report which I had to pay to pay to even see. -I had to pay $1 per page to see a doctors report that was never given to me the first time.- As mentioned in the title, Dr. Lyle was rude, temper mental… and dismissive with me. He seemed to have a hard time hiding his arrogance and temper, although I don't think he was even bothering to try. -The truth is he got it wrong. - I did have a bacterial ear infection and he started me in the wrong direction in my path to healing my ear. I was bullied out of his office misinformed/ uninformed and like I had little chance of regaining my hearing and was left feeling quite disrespected as a patient and a human in general. Dr. Lyle is definitely working as a doctor to stroke his arrogance and make money because he makes it quite clear in his actions that he is not doing it to help people. Dr. Lyles Actions: 2 minute rush job diagnoses; Ignore the patient's questions, Shout at the patient mid sentence, Stand up and leave the patient sitting in the room dumbfounded, Failed to even call in prescription that was written. I would stay away from Dr. Lyle he will probably treat you like you are dirt, bully you, and undoubtedly let you down in his hurried quest to get to his next patient to give another diagnoses without listening. Based on the total ordeal I endured; I give Dr. Lyle and the Barranco clinic the LOWEST POSSIBLE RATING and would recommend you look elsewhere at another clinic and ENT.

Dr. Lyle performed a partial thyroid removal. I can't say enough good things about his "bedside manner" and his staff. He answered any questions that I had and spent more than ample time with me at all of my appointments. Also, he took the time to explain to my wife what to expect immediately following the surgery. Dr. Lyle and his staff could not have done anything more to ease our concerns!

After my surgery, I went back for my post-op appt. I told him I still have the lump in my throat and under jaw. Also,I was very sick and coughing. He was very rude and told me there was nothing wrong with me. I had to go else where and the doctor could not believe he did not treat me with antibiotics. As for the lump, I found out I had Eagle's Syndrome. The surgery he did on me just made my problems worse. This is not right!!!! It should not have hapened

Not very thorough. Ordered tests but did not explain them. Visited him several times and spent no more than 5 minutes with me, and that was just on the first visit. Never got a diagnosis. All that could be said was "I don't know". Very disappointing. Gruff is a good word to describe him. Heard him talk to office staff this way too.

He did a good job - and a nice person.

I try not to complain usually...but I went to see this doctor after having issues swallowing for quite some time. My voice was hoarse and my neck uncomfortable. He did a scope of my throat and told me basically that all of my problems were in my head..that he saw nothing wrong. He basically laughed at me and told me to go to a psyc and get some antidepressants. Now it is 5 months later and symptoms much worse...another doc found a large nodule on my thyroid and he can't believe that it wasn't found when I originally saw Dr. Lyle!
