My 7-year old grandson hurt his arm and shoulder in a fall and went to the emergency room at St Francis - South. No one else was in the ER at the time and yet he was only able to see a nurse. The nurse ordered an x-ray and later told my daughter that it was just a sprain according to Dr Lyons, whom never saw my grandson. So the nurse wrapped his arm in an ace bandage and sent them home. The pain continued the next day so she visited their regular physician who confirmed my grandson had broken his shoulder. This is a gross example of incompetence on the part of the ER staff and St Francis. Is this quackery and malpractice acceptable for this hospital? A potential broken arm or shoulder and no physician actually examines the patient? These people masquerading as medical professionals simply pencil whipped a diagnosis at the expense of caring for an injured patient. They're either incompetent or lazy or both.
