I wrote the previous post regarding my husbands experience at storm. Under no circumstances was it a reflection on dr magrath. On the contrary. The doctor ranks among some of the best practitioners my husband is cared by. My frustration was fueled by the covid 19 virus, not being able to get first hand information and a lack of general cancer treatment information of the eye. It is true that there were some post op situations but totally rectified on our 2 week follow up visit. The doctor provided comprehensive information about further treatment in such a manner eliminating any doubt. He is thorough, calming, one of the true experts in his field and explained the difference between treating cancer in the eye and other cancers. It is not often a doctor spends so much time with a patient, but dr magrath did. Cancer is scary, but dr magrath put everything in perspective and i can say without reservations that dr magrath will continue the care with my husband and I will become his… patient for cataracts.

Disappointed in my care. Went to storm because of convenience. Biopsy revealed squamous cell carcinoma. Treated with drops w/o results. Surgery unremarkable and did not get all the cancer. Post op care disappoints as no one called to f/u. Written post op instructions conflicted with medication instructions. Even urgent care centers call. Spiked high fever and resident on call told me to go to pcp or urgent care saying hes just an ophthalmologist. Dr finally called to give disappointing results and was told options will be discussed at next appointment. I'm going back to first doctor at Hopkins inspite of distance.
