Dr. George James Makol, MD

Dr. Makol is the best. Longtime patient here. He's always on top of newer meds and treatments, does a thorough assessment and is a very kind man as well.

I have been a patient of Dr. Makol for years. He's always attentive and caring. He's one of my favorite Dr's. And now he sees my daughter, too.

I had an initial diagnosis ofCOPD from a chest x-ray but Dr. Makol put me through a couple of easy tests and ruled it out. Thanks to Dr. Vig for referring me to this kind and clear thinking and easy to understand doctor!

I saw Dr. George Makol May 17, 2018 for a allergy consult & allergy test. During the initial consult & examination he noticed a lump on the left side of my neck under my ear & jaw . We discussed this finding & he suggested I have it looked at; I hadn't done so, it didn't hurt or bother me at all. I did make an ENT doctor appt. & the lump was found to be malignant squamous cell carcinoma in the form of oro-pharyngeal cancer. Ugh! After seven weeks of chemo & radiation treatments last summer into the fall season, I can now say I am in TOTAL REMISSION!! You saved my life Dr. Makol. If I hadn't taken your little bit of advice I probably would have waited too long to check this out. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your caring & compassion. Linda Warnick

Dr makol is my son's immunologist, he admitted to me that he doesn't know a great deal about peds (my son is 2) and has consulted with many pediatric immunologist, including one of nation's top pediatric immunologists in PA, to diagnose my son and monitor him. He has made many calls to me to ask questions or give my lab values and/or info. He has given me piece of mind for a year now, since me son became sick.

Dr. Makol was the first doctor to finally correctly diagnose me & get me started on a treatment program when I had a sudden onslaught of numerous health problems. He is very intelligent, has high energy, is compassionate, is willing to take the time needed & will often jump up & run to his office to look something up just to make sure he's giving the right answer. He is not at all arrogant & he's just an all-around great guy. One of my favorite doctors! :-)
