Dr. George Edward Malcom, MD

Incompetent. This man dismissed me today saying my symptoms were age related, after I was life flighted last year for horrible medical complications that started with the symptoms I am having now....fainting. I had an aneurysm. He is a joke to both my son and I and was a complete waste of our time today in the ER for 4 hours. He shouldn't be practicing if he is so ignorant not to look further into a person's symptoms. I'm so scared....not being able to get a resolution today.

I was in excruciating pain and needed some stronger meds. He told me that i shouldn't be in anymore pain and that my panic attacks weren't present. He wanted to discharge me- I couldn't even see, let alone walk. He proceeded to rush me out of the room with no take home meds and without treating my specified conditions. His nurse couldn't even read. They were both incompetent and I will NEVER go back to North Fulton Hospital. He did absolutely nothing to help me and I have already reported him to the state medical board, as he and his staff will hurt or worse pattens that come to wherever he works..

As someone who is involved in medicine, I understand the urgency and the hectic nature of the emergency room. However, I am ashamed and distasteful to see medical health professionals who do not even bother to meet the family of patient— a provider who does not inform a patient of what labs/next steps. My grandmother, who is not a native English speaker, was sitting there getting stuck with needles, getting pooled from one room to next room, seeing multiple faces not knowing who the doctor was, unsure of what was going on.... I cannot believe the “care” that went on today. Even an apology or an explanation would have been sufficient. Very disappointed. Very.

Our family took my sister into the ER late Sunday night. Dr. Malcolm came in right away. Gathered the necessary information from us (she had just been released from another hospital hours before). Assessed her condition and took action. As soon as he did, condition that sent her to the ER stopped and he admitted her to the hospital for further testing and assessment. My sister was in a great deal of pain and not her best self, and Dr. Malcolm, Stephanie (ER nurse) and Vicki (ER assistant) treated her with kindness and compassion the entire stay, as well as dealing with our family in an informative and timely manner. I cannot say enough about Dr. Malcolm's beside manner, diagnosis, and his staff's care of my sister and my family.

Took our son to North Fulton with a facial injury from a fall during a seizure. Dr, Malcom was caring, sensitive to our son's needs, and worked with us to determine the quickest, best, and least traumatic way to handle the repair, since our son is developmentally disabled and has autism. The next day we could hardly tell there had been an injury. We were extremely pleased.

Misdiagnosed my injury and did not acknowledge mistake.
