Dr. George William Middleton, MD

I had a Horseshoe kidney, and had years of recurrent infections, the left kidney was in such deteriorated condition it required removal. I went in to deep DIC needing much blood, if not for the diligence of this good doctor I would be pushing up tulips at Forest Lawn (I'm no where near FL so likely somewhere else. A good friend of mine had prostate cancer and George came through again. GW Middleton comes from a family of physicians I served as a Surg tech for his Dad and he and his brother, if you are lucky and he is still practicing, you will have a Brilliant Surgeon, they don't make doctors like this anymore.

Dr. George Middleton is my urologist. He is an excellent doctor and has wonderful communication and people skills. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a Urologist.

Go to any ratings site. The reviews are almost all negative. My Kidney stone removal involved unnecessary pain, rude behavior that was uncalled for, three trips to the emergency room and a blood infection requiring IV antibiotics. When i went to a competent Urologist he told me he would advise anyone he knew to steer clear of Dr. George Middleton, but if I repeated it he would deny it. My wife was blown away by the mans uncaring and crude behavior. Stay away from this man.

I saw Dr George Middleton after being referred by a local ER. On the first visit he didn't really do any tests just relied on the ER rooms ultrasound records and told me i have a small stone in both kidneys and it might pass. He did a quick scope into my bladder then send me on my way saying see you in a month. I felt a little short changed after I was charged around $279 for this little office visit and not being any closer to a solution upon leaving. So a month later I show up to his office for a follow up. Another $179 later and doing the same scope procedure he wrote me a script for kidney stone medication and said see you in 6 months. I was numb after this. Having handed this guy $500 and stil no closer to a solution I took my chances at a different ER. After running some tests they found that I had a 12mm stone in one of my kidneys and it would likely not pass on it's own. So called his office to relay the info what they found and his reply was....Oh well you'll need… surgery for that you'll never pass it. No apology no offer to do the surgery nothing. Thank god I went to the ER after seeing him because not only did I have a stone that could have cost me at least one kidney if I had waited but they also detected gallbladder issues which neither the first ER nor Dr Middleton saw on the tests.

The earlier the appointment, the less the waiting time.
