Dr. George Benjamin Neal, MD

Regarding Mr George Neal, M.D. Rudeness, is not a quality I like to deal with when trying to describe what is going on with me in regards to the impact of the traumatic brain injury/concussion I was and continue to struggle with. His condescending demeanor, not listening to me and treating me like a non-person triggered all kinds of feelings associated with the abuse I dealt with as a child of being a non-person.

My wife has epileptic seizures and she used to go to Dr Neal. This was probably at least 10 years ago but it was the most unprofessional and disgraceful treatment that I have ever had by any doctor (before or since). I still feel the need to speak my mind about it. My wife was running low on her seizure medication and I called his office to have a refill called in to the pharmacist. I did this at least a week ahead of time. It went over a week and the prescription was never called in after a number of daily calls. I never got to talk to him, but talked to his rude assistant around 4 or 5 times. When my wife was out of medicine on the last day I called the office to tell him so. I checked the pharmacy around the close of business and the prescription still had not been called in. I called his answering service enraged and emphasized that she was completely out of her seizure meds and let them know that I had been calling for an entire week. Finally he called me back and said that the… prescription had been called in. I started to give him a piece of my mind and he cut me off and said "IT HAS BEEN CALLED IN" - as if he was proud of himself. I just hung up and went to get my wife's medicine that she was desperately in need of. We had one more appointment with him and he did apologize for the incident. But it was way too little and too late. We switched doctors.

Dr. Neal asked me questions and then suggested a sleep study that I declined. He then had no problem charging me $325 to have me answer a couple questions that my normal PCP doctor had already answered on my behalf. HE'S A FRAUD and will send you to collections to try to ruin your credit score!!!!

Listens to me, fully informs me of my options, and follows up on a regular basis. Kind, courteous, professional. Great experience.

l I went to Dr. Neal for many years. At first he seemed to be really concerned about my migraines. Then he just pushed for sleep study that was supposed to reveal all. However he refused to do an additional group of testing while I was sleeping, I gave up trying to find the root of the problem. Fast forward 4-5 years I am now falling backward several times a week. In a year and 6 months I have had major back surgery, both hips broken, broken wrists, several compression fractures but still no advise from Dr. Neal. However the lady at the front desk was very interested in one thing....MONEY. We were not aware that this practice does not take a debit card and she wagged her finger at us (literally) and told us to bring cash only next time and to go home and immediately send check for today's visit . {$20.0O co-payment) . I did so as instructed along with a note to cancel next appt. By the way I had 3 sleep studies ... at St Joes hospital. My answer for… diagnosing the problem was "your studies are too complex to determine, How interesting ... so much for sleep studies.

Informative, knowledgeable, patient, thorough, explains everything in detail, comforting. Highly recommend Dr Neal
