Dr. George Daniel Rath, MD

While Dr. Rath may know his medicine, he was not very courteous to me while my family member was in the hospital. That family member was hospitalized twice in two years at the same hospital. He showed very little courteousness to me. When I became upset, rather than trying to understand where I was coming from and help me through what I was feeling for my family member, he became angry and raised his voice at me. This made me more defensive and I ended up in a somewhat heated argument with him. Instead of trying to diffuse the problem, he simply made it worse. At one point I made a statement in response to something he stated to me; in turn he told me that when my family member was ready to be discharged, if the family member could not find a place to live, that person would be out on the street. To this day, I wish I would have sent a letter to the administrator of the hospital. That situation is something I will never be able to forget. He gets a 0 rating for his… courteousness and bedside manner.
