Dr. RICKS, he has treated my whole family over the years, my grandmother, my father, my mother, my wife, my kids, keep up the gd work Dr. RICKS!

I explained to him personally that I have medical phobias and that waiting in the exam room is like being a caged animal for me. I explained this so that he'd understand my tension. He did not. He was pompous rude and childish. He treated me like I was a fool and like I was an annoyance. He showed no empathy, no compassion and took no time or made any effort to get me to relax or to explain the reasons for the tests he demanded I take. When I questioned him and again reminded him that a. I'm phobic of medical procedures and clinics, b. that all the info he needed on my gout could be obtained from my previous doctor, c. that nothing has changed and I have no new health issues I simply need a new prescription, d. that I felt starting from scratch was a waste of time, he actually threw up his hands and angrily stated "I'm not treating you!!" then stormed out of the room slamming the door behind him. He acted like a little child taking his ball and running home.
