This location is a major rip off with the fees. When I landed in New York I felt I had ruptured an ear drum, and I had to fly back in 2 days. I decided to give it until Sunday before scheduling something with a urgent care to check out my eardrum. Since I was still having pain and I had to get back on a plane, I decided to have my ear checked out. I put my information in, including my insurance info, and it stated I owed $0. I knew there was a chance my insurance would not cover this being out of network, but I though for a few hundred dollars to have an ear check out it would be worth it. When I arrived my apt was at 11am. They called me back at 11:15am, and I left the room at 11:37am. They took my blood pressure, O2, and checked my ear out, and released me saying I should not fly. Nothing prescribed, and I saw a nurse practitioner. Fast forward about 30 days I received a bill for $565, for a new patient + extended time. If I knew it would be that much I would have not gone. I live… in Chicago, so by all means im used to high prices. But $565 for about 22-25 minutes of time, and a quick look in a ear is absurd. I went to a ENT specialist when I got back home to have things further checked out and it wasn't even that much. This is an absolute rip off in the medical industry.

Less than 1 star... This MD is definitely committing fraud. We went to CVS for a procedure that was covered 100% by insurance and since they coded it incorrectly and refused to listen to our reasoning, we were charged $99.00 for a visit.... TOTAL RIP-OFF

Got a TDAP vaccine in Mulberry Street CVS Minute Clinic that was supposed to be in my insurance's network. Now, the insurance company does not want to cover its cost, claiming that I have visited an out-of-network doc, whom I effectively have never visited. I have already submitted a complaint to my insurance company. They take up to 45 days to respond. Meanwhile, George Safran is already chasing me with payment request e-mails. So annoying!!!

NYC CVS Minute Clinic Data Leak Victim? I just called my insurance company. To them this is a KNOWN problem. The scammers know your email and phone number from this data leak (that is apparently on going to people visiting CVS Minute Clinics in the NYC area). THEN the scammers send you a link and ask you to click on it. I am told that link starts the process of gathering PII (Personally Identifiable Information). I was told NEVER CLICK ON A LINK SENT TO YOUR PHONE OR EMAIL. Besides collecting PII, that link may also be implanting viruses (malware) on your device, so that it can gather more information about you. In general I was told to NEVER RESPOND TO COLLECTION NOTICES VIA TEXT MSGS OR EMAILS. I was told, all legal notices for collecting a debit needs to be sent by USPS. I AM NOT A LAWYER -- I am just passing on info told to me by my insurance carrier. Do your own research and make your own decisions. BOTTOM LINE: I AM WRITING THIS OFF AS A SCAM, but since they apparently know a… lot about me from the CVS / MINUTE CLINIC DATA LEAK, I expect I will be in for a lot of trouble. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO A CVS MINUTE CLINIC. Yes good service -- BAD SAFE GUARDS OF MY DATA.

A lot of people saying this turned out to be CVS…it certainly seemed that way to my gf but she contacted her insurance who contacted CVS and they had no idea what this was and said there was no outstanding bill and the insurance covered it. Not sure if CVS is leaking information or what, but just because this lines up with a CVS visit, don’t assume it’s not a scam. Seems like a complete scam to me.

I have never seen this doctor and I received a bill for $39.00. I went to a CVS for a COVID test on the date of service in a different state! This man needs to be arrested and charged for fraud and stripped of his license!

After visiting MinuteClinic in Staten Island just for checking my options regarding the costs of a potential Pneumonia Vaccine shot and the payment for it by Original Medicare. Left the MinuteClinic without any vaccine shot!!! A few weeks later I received a charge for the administration of the peneumococcal vaccine. What a shameless action!!! Still trying to solve this problem and in the meantime, I'm getting the bill reminders. Unbelievable case. Shame.

I received a medical bill from George Safran MD after a visit to the CVS MinuteClinic and was initially suspicious. I spoke with the billing office at CVS with concerns that this was a fraudulent bill because I never met with this physician, but it is thankfully NOT FRAUD. Based on my conversation with the billing office, a new regulation enforced at CVS MinuteClinic stated that all medical bills from NY locations had to be sent by an overseeing medical provider (in this case, Dr. Safran). You are welcome to call the MinuteClinute billing center to confirm (I also was suspicious), but this is not a scam like I thought it was. The billing center can confirm your visit, bill, etc. and can explain why an overseeing provider is needed in NY for bills. Just call the general CVS MinuteClinic number and ask to speak with the billing department.

I have never seen this doctor and he emailed me a bill for services I never received. Please report.

I have never been to Jersey, nor seen this doctor and I received a bill for $39.00. When you call the number all the girls that answer say are calling regarding fraudulent billing. This man needs to be arrested and charged for fraud and stripped of his license!
