Dr. George Triadafilopoulos

I was very, very ill several years ago and had a myriad of symptoms that put me on a medical leave of absence from my job. I was 24, so these symptoms were very scary. He performed an endoscopy and a colonoscopy on me, also an intestinal motility test which required me to be awake while a tube ran down my throat all the way down to my intestines, WHILE they fed me food. It was the hardest thing I've had to do in my life. That test lasted hours, I recall it being 6. I never heard from Dr. T again. I didn't hear from the office, so I called them to ask for my results. They asked me to call back several times, which I did. After weeks of this, finally one of the girls who answers his phones read me the results, which are NOT in layman's terms. I asked her what they meant, if they were good or bad. She said "I don't know what they mean. Only the doctor knows." I asked why the doctor hadn't contacted me to explain what was going on with me. She said he had left to go to Greece. She ended up… sending me a copy of the results, and I had to pay ANOTHER G.I. doctor at a different practice to interpret the results. This fell below the standard of care in my opinion. I was scared, alone, and there was no one to help. I was waiting for the results from these tests and he just abandoned me. I had an excellent insurance plan, so I had suspicions that he was performing these barbaric and expensive tests to get the cash, since he never bothered calling me after them, but I'll never know. An interm. Doc filling in for Dr. T finally agreed to see me, and while I was in the office the girl at the front desk told me he couldn't see me afterall and had to cancel. WHILE I was in the office. I explained my situation and how sick I was and that Dr T had left me and demanded to see the Dr. I had the appt with. The doctor agreed and explained the results, which still to this day don't make sense to me. This wasn't the first time...the desk staff cancelled my appointments WHILE I was in his office on several occasions. That was several years ago, and after being sick for almost 2 years straight with no answers, I finally got well again and no thanks to Dr. Triadafilopoulos for it. I think what he did was negligent, unethical, and immoral. It was also a cruel thing to do to someone who was so scared and sick and was paying him for answers, or at least a phone call. He may or may not be good at the procedures he performs, but I think people need to know this happened to me.

My father had a medical emergency ten days ago and was treated by Dr. T. Since then, not one word from his office. Multiple phone calls to his office, on hold for over ten minutes each time - still no communication with this Dr. No follow up to see how my father is doing. However, I'm sure his bill will arrive promptly. He is a disgrace to the medical profession.

Dr T. Is the best Dr. I've seen in many years. He actually listens to his patients. He is the doctor you always wished you'd get to see. So occasionally he may run a few minutes behind, but you know he is helping another patient and he will give you all the time you need when you see him.

OMG, what a wonderful Doctor !!! I surged for 9 month with my stomach problems, MD,s tests etc. and Dr. T was amazing...he found a heart murmur which all my doctors did Not find !!! I never had a more thorough MD ...Thank you...

Dr.George Triadafilopoulos diagnosed me with a condition that several other Physicians had sincerely tried to find .The cause of my severe pain frequently uncontrollable even with large doses of Morphine was a congenital deformity of the Pancreatic Ducts at the Junction of Wirsung and Santorini. Formed at this location was a well fed inoperable pseudocyst.He diagnosed me with this deformity when I was in my forties.Until I began seeing him and he diagnosed my Disease I was being Hospitalized 3 to 4 times per year. The difficulty in the diagnosis was beyond even the Head of the G.I. Department in San Francisco. When he requested an x ray for me at the University of S.F. he personally arranged for my G.I.X-Ray to be read by the head of the G.I. X-Ray Dept. at UCSF. Quoting the Radiologist in the report was familiar to me as all Physicians I had seen until Dr. T. stated similar problems bottom line was "they saw a large cyst wrapped around the head of the Pancreas and they had never seen… anything like that before in their career. Dr. T. put on the path of recovery as he diagnosed the problem which allowed me to be treated for the extreme pain. in his words my pain was the same level that a bone cancer patient would suffer. He bravely nominated me for an experimental surgery and has always kept me abreast of any advances in the field. Because of him I have been able to live and have many days where I was close to Normal. His attitude and kindness was healing in itself. I strove to follow his instructions re: diet and my own self care when I suffered Pancreatic Attacks.It has been over 3 years since I have been Hospitalized with Pancreatitis. I have been able to stay in my own Home with assisted care of a supportive nature rest and diet and careful intake of Amalase and Lypase.When I met him more than 20 years ago I was not expected to Live. He saved my Life and gave me the hope that contributed to being able to have the Joy of Life return to my innermost being. Thank you Dr. Triadafilopoulos.
