Dr. Georgina Marcel Bustamante, MD

I saw Bustamante late in 2017. I was a new patient of hers and decided to address my mental health concerns after years of struggling with depression. She told me she is "not comfortable" talking about mental health or anti-depressants. She then got a psychiatrist and they discussed my concerns very loudly in the hallway. The psychiatrist said rude comments about me and how inconvenient the timing was for her. I waited two hours to be seen by a psychiatrist who I did not come to see and ultimately still was not seen by this other provider. During my wait, a nurse I did not know came into the room with me, patted my shoulder and asked if I was feeling okay. It was awkward, unprofessional, and a degrading experience. I haven't sought help for my depression since.

Dr. Bustamante did not introduce herself for being a first time patient with our son who has special needs. She referred to him as a child comparing his needs to her children's needs when he is a 24 year old young adult with a chronic health history. Stated " I know parents like you who are shopping when referring to the computer screen information regarding a previous visit to another doctor in the same practice. As I stated to her the previous doctor had no appointments available that day and the regular family doctor was out the office. Then she caught herself and corrected herself that my son's primary doctor was indeed out of the office for the month.

Wouldn't listen to my concerns came in spent maybe 5 mins and said she didn't have time for me.
