Dr. Gerald Bowden Burford, MD

I have received excellent care from Dr. Burford for many years.

Garald is an EXCELLENT doctor but getting thru on the phone is dreadful, if you are sick forget it-you will be well by appointment time, and the office is crowded and you might have to wait an hour. But this is all because he takes his time with you. He CARES. I do think he has too much on his plate. He needs to leave a longer appointment time so the patients wait is shorter. Remember the people out there waiting feel bad enough The longer they wait the more ill they are going to feel.

Because I've moved around the country, I've had many primary care physicians in my life, and Dr. Burford is the best. He has the usual skills you'd want - current in technology and pharmaceuticals, up to date on findings, etc. In addition, he has uncommon common sense, and he uses it freely. He even gave tips on how to deal with my parent who had Alzheimers...at no charge. It's no wonder he's a mentor for new med students in internal medicine.
