Dr. Gerald Triminhhuy Dang, MD

I'm not sure if the receptionist at the Yates office is incompetent, lacks human decency or a racist but I had an awful experience at that location.

Dr Dang is very good. The member of his staff who draws blood is clueless and nasty !

I was referred to Dr. Dang for prostrate cancer. He did biopsy and found me positive for cancer. He explained all my options very well. I opted for a procedure not approved in this country. Dr. Dang did attend to all my post procedure care and I am very satisfied. He then successfully performed two other procedures on me. I am well satisfied with all care provided by Dr. Dang and his staff.

My husband had out-pt surgery and ended up in ICU and in hospital for almost a week. The simple procedure began at 11 am and I was not allowed to go back to recovery to see him until after 5 pm. The nurse said she was afraid to let me see him because she feared I would "get upset." That's hardly the word for it. My husband was incoherent, talking "gibberish" as if he'd had a stroke. Dr. Dang had left the building long before and I had talked with him by phone twice before seeing my husband, and Dr. Dang insisted that I could take my husband home. The nurse talked with the doctor after that and apparently persuaded him that my husband needed to be hospitalized. Later that night, I insisted that my husband be seen by a medical team at the hospital and a wonderful nurse practitioner came and did not leave our side for 3 hours and until he was admitted to ICU. His oxygen was way below acceptable levels and he ended up on dialysis for two days to clear his system of toxins. Even… after admittance to the hospital, I called Dr. Dang on the phone and he stated, "This is NOT an emergency." We're lucky my husband survived.

Very competent with good bedside manner.
