Dr. Gerald Stephen Fine, MD

I was asking the intake assistant questions about what steps the team was going to take during my oral surgery consultation, when Dr. Fine entered the room. "Tell him that if he doesn't want to do the X-rays that's fine, but we have to take the next patient," Dr. Fine told the assistant. "I am just asking questions about the procedure," I responded to Dr. Fine. "That's fine, but we have very limited time and if you want to use it asking questions that's fine with me," Dr. Fine answered. My response: "I can also go to a different practice." Then I left, because I do not trust an oral surgeon who is that rude and uncaring.

Went to Dr. Fine for an emergency extraction. He did everything possible to make me comfortable during the procedure. The fear of the procedure was worse than the actual extraction which only took about 30 minutes. The post op has been uncomplicated. He was a skilled and experienced professional and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others.

Dr Fine removed four wisdom teeth from my 17 yr old daughter. She has a blood disorder that makes this surgery a bit more serious. Dr Fine and his staff were fabulous from our consultation to recovery. I will refer this team with total and complete confidence!

Dr. Fine was never mean but he was completely unfriendly even though patient was being extremely polite. Was definitely not him having a bad day because he acted the same during all three visits. Never showed compassion even when patient was experiencing severe pain right in front of him. Communication skills extremely poor. Patient had to ask a million questions to get him to explain diagnosis, what to do, what the prescription drugs did, and what to expect. Diagnosis may have been incorrect because three weeks of following his drug regimen did not improve condition. Doctor even admitted to not knowing why some of the symptoms were occurring and did not know what tests could explain them when asked. Absolutely did not seem to care about patient's pain or feelings as well. I'm sure he's fine with routine procedures like cavity fillings and wisdom tooth removal but with anything else, he honestly did NOT seem sharp or knowledgeable.
