Dr. Gerald James Gamalski, MD

I first went to another doctor at Northshore and didn't like her at all. She didn't listen to me and was quick to brush me off. So I decided to go to another doctor. I chose Dr. Gamalski and my very first visit he sat and asked me lots of questions to get down to the root of the problem. I am forever grateful to Dr. G for taking the time to ask me questions to properly diagnose me. After many, many, many months of being in pain. Dr. G knew almost immediately what it was...when the "other" doctor just told me it was a "weight problem and I should just lose weight". I haven't changed my doc since nor will I! Dr. Gamalski seems to remember almost every time I've visited even after I haven't seen him in months or years! He's truly an amazing doctor and I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a new primary.

He honestly listens to you and cares

I have been seeing Dr. Gamalski for many years and he remembers so much about his patients and truly listens to everything you say. Many times from that interaction he asks better, more tailored questions that really help get to the exact need. And his bedside manner makes you feel at ease immediately.

I had to pick a new PCP blindly when I changed insurance without any information. Well I Met Dr. Gamalski today and he made me feel as if I was the only patient on the schedule. He took time to explain things. Most docs make you feel like they have one hand on the door and ready to run out as you are trying to tell them personal things. Not this doc. He took his time and explained everything. He was a very knowledgable. He utilized the NorthShore portal and expedited the process of learning my medical background. He explained everything and made me feel very comfortable. I am very happy with this new PCP and look forward to working with this Physician and his office staff. I have found the staff to be very competent and reliable as well. I needed a referral and they prepared it for me immediately and forwarded and followed up diligently. I have full confidence with this new team from my initial meeting. I look forward to working with with professional and his team.

Dr. Galmaski is an exellent doctor he's very calm,reasuring and has a very pleasant personality which is a plus. I've had several medical issues and feel comfortable in his care.

I have seen many of the doctors in this practice as well as others--and had felt that the medical community had lost the personal touch. Dr. G. restored my faith in the medical field--He listened, was caring and gentle and I really feel he was thorough in his diagnosis and treatment. It was by accident that I was ablet to get in to see him. I am going to switch my records to have him as my primary physician.

My appointment with Dr Gamalski was great - he listened and was the first Doctor who gave me medication to solve my problem. I would recommend him to everyone. My husband went to see him and he found a medication that has helped in curing his ailment. It is wonderful to find a doctor who listens and shows sincere concern for his patients.

Dr. Gamalsky has a wonderful bedsde manner. He actually seems to truely care about me as a patient. He listens and makes you feel cared about and understood. Unfortunatly because of transportation problems, I had to see another Dr., but I will be going back to him asap. I just felt like a number with the other Dr. I don't care what I have to do, I'm finding a way back to Dr. Gamalsky. What a waste of time I spent looking for someone closer to my house. I definatly recommend him!

I've been searching for a physician that I would be comfortable with for years now and finally found one in Dr. Gamalski. His bedside manner is fantastic and litens to everything you have to say (small or not) with equal importance. I never feel rushed, and I don't feel that he is being rushed to finish the exam when I see him.

Dr. Gamalski has a great bedside manner. He spends ALOT of time talking to his patients, listening to problems and explaining things!
