Dr. Gerald Alan Shiener, MD

Dr. Shiener has been my doctor for more than 20 years. He is very smart and stays up-to-date on the latest treatments, including medications. He is also sure to not over medicate and, wisely, tries one new medication at a time so we know which med is helping or causing problems. He oversees all my medications to make sure they don't interact with each other. He has make personal phone calls to both me and my husband in times of crisis. He is also compassionate when my auto insurance company causes grief and doesn't demand payment when they won't pay. I respect and trust Dr. Shiener.

I went to this doctor many years ago. I lost my employment and Attorney Feiger, which must be a good friend of his and another scumbag, sent me to him. I was so distraught over losing my job, a very good one, and was so depressed I had no idea what was going on in regards to my case. This guy (supposedly helping my case) wrote a phony bologny diagnosis that I would never be able to work again due to what my employer had done to me. That was not the case at all. I went to further my education and have worked ever since. My life is much better, my head much clearer, I have to tell others what this man did. He got paid to write a fake report while he cared nothing about me as a person and took zero time to get to know me or evaluate me properly. I was one more case to make him more money easily. Shame on this man and shame on Feiger. I hope they both go to where the devil lives in the next life time. Thats what they deserve. How do such people sleep at night?

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical “professional “ He ran through his checklist of questions and could not have been any more rude or arrogant. Actually criticized me because my parents weren’t able to pay for my college and I did it on my own.

I have known Dr. Shiener for years both professionally and personally. He helped me when I needed help. He is a kind, caring and friendly doctor, and makes you feel like you do matter, and helps you find ways to cope in this crazy, hectic thing we call life. Thank You Dr. Shiener!

Worst doctor I have ever dealt with. Extremely rude, egotistical and not the least bit helpful. Save your money.

Mom had a stroke in her frontal lobe. Prior to stroke, she was taking oxybutinen. One night she got dressed , packed up her things and walked away from the hospital. She walked 1 block to catch the bus home. The stroke impacted her ability to think and reason. Within 2 days at the hospital, she started hallucinating, seeing bugs on the floor and walls. Her family determined she may be having an allergic reaction to oxybutinen and had it discontinued. Within hours the hallucinations went away. The next morning, Dr Shiener with his residents and arrogance in tow, came in and spoke to my mom in a condescending manner and spoke to us in a dismissive manner without even reading her medical charts insisting we commit her the psyche ward. The stroke alone impacted her ability to think logically. Yes her walking away from hospital was not safe or logical, but we were confused as to why a person who had a stroke would need to be committed. Had he taken the time to review her charts prior, he… would have known that oxybutinen caused her hallucinations and she was no longer seeing bugs. There is are some other concerns with Mr. Shiener as well. He should not have privileges at any facility .

He is an outstanding doctor.

This doctor is a dangerous quack! Avoid him at all costs! He does not tell the truth about time spent with patient, about diagnoses and prognoses. I would have given him ZERO stars for his performance, but that was not an option. He does not deserve even ONE star in any area!

The doctor is a scam artist... gives quicky off the cuff, diagnosis based off ego, rather than the patient. . I was in his office for 30 mins for an Independent Medical Exam which I paid 900 for!

Horrible person. Rude.
