Told my sister that they were moving my dying mother to "comfort care" because...and I quote...."we need the bed"(in ICU).It's best that I wasn't there to hear that.

I found dr small done to be thorough and extremely caring. I never felt rushed.

Took my case on even though I am a Cancer patient at MSKCC. He reviewed all my reports and made his diagnoses and he was right the first time, which MSK was having trouble figuring out what to do. Thanks

Dr. Smaldone helped my husband who had suffered for 10 years from chronic cough. Dr. Smaldone prescribed medications that stopped my husband's incessant coughing and improved the quality of his life immensely. After seeing several doctors, Dr. Smaldone was the one who helped him the most.

He is the head of ICU at Stony Brook and is the most unprofessional, obnoxious doctor you could ever possibly meet. Stay away from him at all costs!
