Dr. Gerald Wayne Thorpe, MD

was my doctor for my first pregnancy! and he was a great doctor. i dont know what all these bad reviews are ab, but he provided me with a bunch of info that i needed. and delivered my 9lb 13.5 ounce baby. and i had a 3rd degree tare! been a week and almost 5 days and i feel absolutely great! would highly recommend him to be your ob!!

I've had him for 3 yrs! This last fall when I found out I was pregnant decided to switch to a midwife, I got knew something was wrong an got the run around for 2 wks before she guessed it was a tubal gave me methotrexate shot! 3 days later i had severe pain decided to go in an dr Thorpe read the ultrasound an started that my right tube had ruptured an I went in for surgery 10 min later! He explained everything! An has been very understanding an since then have gotten pregnant again, he gave me a early ultrasound to ease my mind! My only regret was not staying with him! I dont think I would have ever lost my tube had I stayed!!!

absolutely the best doctor i’ve ever had. I will choose him time & time again.

He did some inappropriate things during my breast examination. If you absolutely have to use him make sure you are just speaking to him -not having a full blown checkup. I do not recommend.

I currently have Dr. Thorpe as my OB. Every week is a different story with him. I was told to come in for an ultrasound & excitedly invited my parents... he walks into the room & acts like he knew nothing about the ultrasound. However, proceeds to get the ultrasound done for me & follows up with me after it’s finished. The first thing he says is, “I didn’t want to argue with you in front your family.” Basically saying I was a liar about him saying we would be doing an ultrasound. Fast forward a week or so I get a call I have yet another UTI already on medication to prevent them, he prescribes more medication & doesn’t even know he has me on anything else. States one thing one week & then another the following week. Around 16 weeks couldn’t find my baby’s heartbeat hears muffled sound that dissapears like a second letter & says that was her heartbeat. To me he just has no bed side manner, and offers no comfortt toward his patients. Orders blood tests & never calls with results. 40 weeks… pregnant and he still doesn’t know the gender of our baby. I would highly recommend reading reviews on your OB before making a choice, the good & bad ones. I’m so fed up that I even have to deliver with OB. Lesson learned.

I went and saw him for my endometriosis recently. He was a very good listener , he provided me a lot of insight on my health and went the extra mile to help me get back on the right path. I would definitely recommend him.

Poor bedside manner, extremely rude and disconnected. Made me feel completely uncomfortable. Seems distracted while speaking with patients and is a poor listener. He asks the same questions I had answered NUMEROUS TIMES within the same appointment

I have to say this doctor was awesome sorry for all the rest of ure experiences but I was very naive with my pregnancy and he knew what to say every time how to comfort me all professionally very informative and attentive he walked me threw everything step by step gave me knowledge wisdom and understanding of child birth and with my c section it was perfect he came right on time and my scar looked great after the swelling he checked on me before I left from the hospital was awesome after I had my baby he did my check up and educated me on birth control and was honest on the adverse reactions on all birth controls for thise who don't know that means negative reactions to birth controls explained all methods and risk factors very very very good doctor wish I had him again

Worst Dr ever!!! I had him as my OB, please dont go there!!

He told me that I should have my cervix removed during a hysterectomy because if my husband cheated on me I could still get cervical cancer.
