Dr. Gerald Vincent Zarlengo, MD

I have seen Dr. Zarlengo for 30 years, from the beginning of his practice. He delivered my kids, my grandkids and and my neice. He is very informative, knows his stuff, kind, understanding and has the best bedside manner. Dr. Zarlengo is by far the best doctor I have ever had. Thank you so much.

Dr. Z is a very friendly and personable man. It's easy to see why he's well-liked. He also is a very skilled physician when he's focused on treatment. That said, I often felt as though he was in a rush, which made me feel like he wasn't paying much attention and missed marking/sharing details that, while perhaps not life threatening, would be important to an expectant mother (such as fetal heart rate!!!!) It's also hard to ask questions if you feel like your doctor is busy and needed elsewhere. The only other thing was that he often felt the need to "explain down" ideas, even simple ones.

There have been two doctors throughout my 54 years that I would trust completely with my life. The first one was his father, Charles Zarlengo, and of course Gerald Zarlengo. He's been my ob/gyn for the last 25-30 years, and not only was he absolutely wonderful when I had my daughter, but I have talked to him about many other things in my life. He has helped me in more ways than I think he'll ever know, and I am proud and honored to have him as my doctor. At one point in my life I had Kaiser insurance, but I always went to Dr. Z, because it was worth the expense to know I had someone who truly cared about my health! He's absolutely the best!!!

I work in medicine, so I'm very particular about my own physicians. I've been Dr. Z's patient since trying to get pregnant with my first. He saw me through two pregnancies, and I credit him with saving both babies. With the first, he knew when it was time to intervene during a difficult delivery and help our little one make it into the world. With my second, he knew the right time to induce when it became clear that she was no longer thriving on the inside. I don't think my second would be with us if we hadn't delivered when we did. I trusted him with our lives, and will continue to see him as a patient for as long as he practices.

Dr. Zarlengo is THE best doc I have ever had! He followed my pregnancy closely and as a precaution we agreed that a cesarean section was the way to go. I felt nothing during the surgery and very little pain afterwards. Was able to be discharged a day early (per my request). When he couldn't get to the hospital to follow up after a big snow storm he called me at the hospital to check to see how I was feeling. Even after another doc from his practice checked in on me. Hes so personable & professional and I'll be going to his practice for as long as it exists!!

Stay away from this Doctor!! He only cares about money and protecting his own. He is on the Board of his own insurance company, so he is protected if he screws up. I would never ever go to a doctor who puts his own liability, and his insurance company, over his patients. I will never go see this practice agin.

Dr. Zarlengo has been my Dr. for the last 25 years. He is a very experienced and busy Dr. so I often wish my visits could be a little longer. HOWEVER, when I told my mother, a surgical nurse, she panicked, saying he is one of the best surgeons she's ever seen. He got me through a major surgery without any complications and delivered two high risk babies. I will never stray from the practice.

Several visits with this practice, had surgery by Dr. Zarlengo, who is caring and easy to talk to. No problems with the surgery or during follow up visits. My experience with this doctor and his practice has been good.
