Dr. Geraldine A. Ryan

Nurses never call back, has been treating mother in law for years and mother in law thinks she's great but in mean Time family expresses concerns with re moms mental health with Dr. Ryan and falls on deaf ears, as if she is the only one who's observation s matter but she only sees her for 15 mins every few months . Has left pneumonia untreated, and prescribes way too much pain med to feeble old lady. Wish there was a no star rating.

She is very good at listening and addressing your problems as needed. On top of labs, meds, and really seems to care.

I have gone to Dr. Ryan for over 15 years. I find her to be very attentive and very thorough. She is not a pill pusher or one to dazzle you with big words....but communicates well if you listen and ask follow up questions.

I believe that Dr. Ryan is an intelligent doctor with ability to get to the root of the problem. In my experience, she is willing to spend the extra time to listen, and has always been kind. My experience, however, is that it takes more than one visit to get to the true root of the problem; sometimes even for the simple things. I feel you need to be your own advocate and do your own research, right or wrong, that's how it is. I have been inaccurately /incompletely diagnosed a on two separate occasions before the correct diagnosis was made. My biggest frustration/irritation is with the phone set-up in the office in general. Talking to a doctor or nurse to get answers or test results is hit or miss. If someone (rarely) answers the "nurse" line, then you may get a prompt reply. If you leave a message requesting answers or test results, well, good luck getting a response...I typically wait 4 days for a reply (even when I have already confirmed via outside lab that my test results… are in their hands), and then need to leave a 2nd message just to prompt the reply. If you talk to the scheduling staff regarding test results, they just forward you back to the same "black hole" of a nurse voicemail. My strong recommendation is that they enhance their staff such that there is always a person available to deliver test results or send out prescriptions so the patient is not left in waiting. This forced waiting is very disrespectful to the anticipating patient, and reflects poorly on the medical system and this office. I feel that chivalry is dead. i.e. the days when the doctor does a follow up to confirm you are doing well are gone. The low overall rating is low due to the inefficiency of the nurse staff and challenges getting a response.

I agree with the other post. Dr. Ryan is sarcastic and does not return phone calls. You have to call several times for test results. Horrible!

Doctor Ryan has helpped me with my medical questions and we are still trying to figure out a few things with my health. She is willing ot help me as much as she can. She had gotten me off medications I didn't need prescribed my another doctor who had misdignonsed me and he had me go to the ER twice and wasn't really willing to work with me as she is. Plus the staff is amazing they are caring and make sure you are alright before you leave the office. She is my all time favorite doctor.

Dr. Ryan is great if you are looking for someone who actually wants to treat you and not just medicate you. She explores multiple options instead of just writing a prescription.

Dr Ryan has been my family doctor for over ten years. She is a very kind, caring and thoughtful doctor. She dresses very conservatively and is rather soft spoken. My husband, daughter and I have all been treated by her for various problems and have always been treated respectfully and have never felt that her religion (which I do not know what that is) had any part in her treatment. She always takes plenty of time and we have never felt rushed. She sent both myself and my husband to specialists for cardiology and plastic surgery immediately when it was needed and due to her I am still alive. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ryan.
