Dr. Gerard Alleje, PT, DPT, is a licensed physical therapist specializing in comprehensive physical therapy and hand therapy. With extensive experience conducting Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) and administering work hardening/conditioning programs, he delivers individualized, evidence-based treatment plans designed to restore function, reduce pain, and facilitate a safe return to work and everyday activities.

His practice offers a full spectrum of services, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, balance and gait training, and post-operative rehabilitation. In hand therapy he provides splinting, edema and scar management, and rehabilitation for tendon and nerve injuries as well as post-fracture and post-surgical care. Dr. Alleje also performs objective FCEs and develops job-specific work hardening programs featuring graded endurance and strength training, work-simulated tasks, and return-to-work planning. Dr. Alleje treats a broad range of conditions such as work-related and occupational injuries, repetitive strain disorders, hand and wrist conditions (including carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, fractures, stiffness, and nerve entrapments), and post-operative rehabilitation for the shoulder, knee, hip, and hand. He also manages musculoskeletal pain—low back, neck, shoulder, and knee—sports injuries, sprains and strains, osteoarthritis, and chronic pain, emphasizing functional restoration and patient-centered education throughout the recovery process.
