Dr. Gerard R Hough, MD

Best Pediatric Doctor I ever seen. Very knowledgeable and does not rush his patients out. Both my kids see him . I will continue to take them there as long as the front desk can get their charging codes right. I pay a redicouls amount with military do to them using the wrong charge code. Dr Hough went to front to try and help us get everything fixed. It was cheaper for us to go to hospital then it was for a weight check. I recommend this Doctor to everyone. But something really needs to change with front staff messing up.

Dr. Hough initially seemed very friendly, but I quickly felt he started judging me as a parent who does not believe in shots. This IS NOT THE CASE. I recently moved states and had proof of all my child’s vaccinations and flu shots. He was very hateful and even stated that I probably let my child play in the street. Once I showed him the proof, he backed down a little but continued to question me like he knew there was something I wasn’t telling him. All of which was completely off base as I was only making inquiries as to the instructions he was providing me. I left feeling uncomfortable with the advice given, that he thought I was a bad mother, and that my child’s health was not at all cared for at this place. This was my second attempt with this pediatric location and I will never recommend them to anyone. I will say that his nurse was extremely nice. I don’t know if she was over compensating for his rude behavior or if that is just her personality. I would have loved to continue to… see her as my sons nurse but no one else in that office.

Dr Hough has been my childrens Doctor for 20 years. We love him and wouldn't want to use anyother Doctor.

I just HAD to post based on some of the reviews I have seen here, especially about touching or being creepy because Dr. Hough is a great doctor! He will conflict BIG TIME with parents who are anti- shots and just tell you to go somewhere else. But he stands by his beliefs and genuinely cares a great deal for his patients. If it wasn't for the rude office staff at the front desk, he would still be our doctor. I have always had great experiences with him and my children love him. He was even my doctor as a child, and I distinctly remember him answering my questions as a little girl, being very honest with me about what he would do and if it would hurt, and keeping me calm and feeling safe. He was the only doctor I would let my parents take me to as a child. Moreover, anytime my husband or I were apprehensive about our newborn's care he personally called us at home to check on the girls. He truly goes out of his way and loves his patients. I have never experienced anything inappropriate… or questionable with him. I think there are just some FREAK mom's out there. Dr. Hough is a wonderful Christian man, and a top notch physician.

Dr.hough, touches inappropriately he made reference to my "areolas " during a visit, he talks like a predator and I dudnt like how he touched my child. He does alot of rubbing , I suggest the police investigate this man. He also has a temper and abuses power. I am very shocked.

You do have to wait to see Dr Hough but when its your turn he gives you as much time as you need to answer all your questions so its give and take

He seems to judge babies only by the data. I think every children is different. He stopped me talking before I finish very first question of the day and said that I can talk if I make another appointment. That meant SHUT UP and DON'T WASTE DOCTOR'S TIME.... I was so shocked by his attitude. I am the one who wasted 30 mins to wait for him.

DR. HOUGH IS A WONDERFUL DOCTOR AND SPENDS AS MUCH TIME THAT IS NEEDED ANSWERING QUESTIONS AND EXPLANING THINGS TO YOU

Dr. Hough is very experienced & very knowledgeable on medical/medical history. He can give a whole background passage on just about any viruses you can be seen for. Since going to Dr. Houghs office my children has built their immune-system back up on its own because this office DOES NOT PUSH antibiotics for every cough & cold. WE LOVE IT, OUR CHILDREN LOVE IT.
